We were very disappointed with this property and want to warn others: the pictures do not accurately represent what you may get. While the layout matched, the photos are misleading. Our unit was significantly older/dated/worn out compared to what was shown online. If you decide to book, ask for pictures of your specific unit some looked newer, but ours had a completely different entry also. This was frustrating because we were traveling with grandparents and expected a ramp (as shown in the listing),but instead had steep stairs that were difficult for them to manage. The most disappointing issue was the lack of hot water. It was lukewarm at best, regardless of the time of day or whether it was the first shower. Additionally, the oven did not work, which ruined our plans to cook meals. There was only one pot and no pans or skillet - basic essentials for the price we paid.Cleanliness was unacceptable: food and trash under beds, and even a (unused) diaper behind the nightstand, clearly visible if anyone had bothered to look. The upstairs tub/shower was nearly impossible to access safely; the door opens at the corner, requiring a major step and bracing yourself to get in. Older guests would not be able to use it. The only positive was the kind maintenance man who came early on Thanksgiving Day to try to help with the oven and hot water heater. He couldnât fix either, but we appreciated his effort. The location is close to Silver Dollar City.
I stayed in the lodge on a girls trip. Check in was OK, but this is a timeshare facility & they are pushy about the timeshare meetings & continued to text & call me about signing up while out shopping during the trip.Where you "check in" at was 10-15 minutes away from where the lodge is. We had 3 SUV vehicles and they did not fit in the parking lot out front. Hot water heater did not work. Maintenance couldn't find the hot water heater or breaker box, my sister had to go outside with a flashlight at 11PM to find it for them. Maintenance was there till 1AM & said it was fixed only to wake up the next morning with no hot water still. Then we were told to switch units. We moved to a nice unit over at Stormy Point. With no complaints about the new room minus parking was really bad again. Stormy Point was extremely close to the strip & a good location. I asked to be reimbursed for one night due to not being able to shower (6 girls), maintenance being there and being awake till 1 AM & not fixing it, having to change rooms and losing a half day of plans on a short 3 day trip. They said no.. There was a small credit from VRBO but the front desk said I could go to a timeshare meeting if I wanted money back & get a 250 visa gift card from sitting at the meeting... The rooms were nice, but the front desk staff was not the most polite. VRBO Messages were responsive though. We come to Branson 2-3 times a year & likely would book elsewhere.
