This place is a neglected dump. A corporate money-making machine. I'll share some photos of the blind hanging off the wall (not to mention it was a $5 blind you buy for a college dorm room). And the radiator that was falling off the wall. And the bathroom that I know for a fact hasn't been renovated in over 20 years. They don't care one bit about the customer. Get you in. Get your money. Get you out. Take my advice. STAY ELSEWHERE. And not at a different Village hotel. Avoid them all.

Breakfast was OK a bit dry and over cooked sausages to much out at the one time. Our bedroom had a bit off damp at corner off the bedroom. Slight mold in the BATHROOM.ROOM WAS VERY COLD WHEN WE ARRIVED DID NOT HEAT UP MUCH AT ALL. I DID SAY TO THE RECEPTIONIST NEXT MORNING GOT FREE HOT DRINKS VERY NICE RECEPTION.

Room had mould on ceiling above window. Disgusting smell upon entry. TV didn’t work. Carpet stained in several areas. Explained this to staff and they came to attempt to fix TV but not joy. Said they would move us to a club room which, key to this room didn’t work so had to move to ANOTHER room. Finally got into our club room which was MUCH better than the original mouldy room. Would only ever book a club room moving forward. Maneeb was very helpful, excellent member of staff who did everything within his power to resolve our issues, a credit to the village team! Would advise Village Hotels seriously invest in their non-club rooms. We use them 10/12 times a year and have similar issues across many of the older sites. Moving forward will only book newer sites or club rooms. Overall, DISAPPOINTING START, but a good stay once resolved.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Disturbance During Stay – 4th–5th October Dear Village Hotel Bury Team, I’m writing to raise a formal complaint about my stay at your hotel on the night of 4th–5th October. Throughout the night, there was loud music, shouting, and arguments continuing until around 2:30 a.m., along with things being thrown around in nearby rooms. It was impossible to get any proper rest. I chose Village over Premier Inn expecting a higher standard and a comfortable night’s stay, but I’m genuinely appalled by the level of noise and the lack of control over guest behaviour. I spent more for what I thought would be a quality experience, yet it turned out to be far worse than budget accommodation. I’d appreciate it if you could look into this matter and let me know what steps will be taken to address it, as well as whether any form of compensation will be offered for such a disrupted stay.
