Below Standard for a city centre hotel

We stayed here for a few days while visiting friends and attending some events. It looks luxury from reception and bar area perspective but very basic beyond this. Rooms are small and have woodchip paper on the walls. The TV is hung to the right of the bed, which is the only place to watch TV in the bed. Bar service was ok, but the bartender asked on two different nights if we wanted ice in a Bailey's and a Disaronno?? Who is the bartender and why do you not know this? Breakfast is around £14 for continental food no hot service. Gluten Free options are Granola, dry cornflakes or gluten free bread for toast (it is toasted in a separate toaster, which is good. Definitely not worth the price, and the coffee from the machine was poor. I'd recommend doing room only and getting out for breakfast. (Lovely bar in Piccadilly does a full breakfast for around the same price). The bathroom is small but has amenities and fresh towels provided. The room door doesn't close easily, and we had to slam the door each time we came in and out to make sure it latched.

Wonderful hotel!

Brilliant hotel, very good value but didn't feel like a budget hotel. Really comfortable beds and nice bar area downstairs. Great base when attended a concert at Coop arena. Really close to the station and tram stops. Great central location. Friendly and helpful staff.

Well located for the train station and walking to the Co-op Live for a concert. Staff helpful and friendly. Bar was open late which was good for an after show drink.
