Spacious clean rooms ,excellent breakfast except fresh fruits were served very big size so you have to use butter knife to cut into smaller pieces 😀 Has guest laundry. Within easy walking distance to Reef Terminal and Central City Mall/ station.

Friendly staff, decent breakfast and pool but the room was extremely basic with damp patches on the wall curtains in a questionable state and ants (although they did leave us a can of poison). The whole room (deluxe family) in general was tired and in need of some attention. Our 'pool view' ended up being a roof structure, on the positive side the bathroom was more modern and large also having two separate toilets in the room was helpful with kids. We wouldn't stay again unfortunately

The room Definitely was in rougher condition than we expected. Plus there was an ant infestation apparently that’s a thing all around Cairns though. Great walking distance. The e pool was awesome. Very kid friendly which wasn’t great for our childless selves lol

Lovely big pool with good drinks & food, especially lunch. Activities for kids in the afternoon were really nice. Breakfast had good choices. Limited sunchairs around the pool, but I did like the beanbags. Great location just a short walk from restaurant and shops. Gym is very small and one of the machines did not work properly. Lovely stay overall.

I was given a room in the outside building. I think the room number was 126, on the ground floor. I felt deceived because I paid about $400 for the night for Novotel’s brand and the room was no better than a motel room that I could get for less than $150.

All good except for a particular supercilious bar staff member pointing out an ambiguous directional sign. His belittling attitude was unnecessary and tarnished an otherwise great stay. We were celebrating my 60th birthday.

Overall the hotel is great (especially the pool area). Food and drinks are reasonably priced. Could do with a few more sun loungers around the pool, there does seem to be plenty of room! Staff on the whole were pretty good aside from the odd grumpy member of staff at the pool bar, it was super busy though so maybe she was just a bit stressed. Cleaning is OK, a few little things were missed (e.g. shower soap dispenser was not refilled as it ran out on the last day) but pretty clean and tidy otherwise. Would definitely stay at this hotel again!

5th time staying here. Great hotel. Kids love the pool and swim up bar especially. Breakfast is fantastic. The other meals aren’t at the same high standard but there’s plenty of choice elsewhere nearby. Rooms are basic but clean and the hotel staff are fantastic. If you go at Xmas the hotel even has its own elves to deliver presents for kids on Xmas day ;)
