Book a hotel near Casa Loma, Old Toronto

"The location of the hotel is excellent—it’s right in the heart of downtown and just a few minutes’ walk from CF Toronto Eaton Centre. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the quality and cleanliness of the rooms were disappointing. We arrived early and were accommodated in a different room before moving to the one we originally booked (for an additional fee). In the first room, particularly in the bathroom, there was noticeable wear and tear. The bathtub was in poor condition, with the finish peeling and chipping. The hotel advertises air conditioning and a coffee machine; however, the A/C only worked intermittently, and when it did, it gave off a musty, stale smell. The “coffee machine” turned out to be just a kettle with powdered coffee sticks, which was a bit misleading (though a minor issue). When we moved into our originally booked room, we experienced many of the same problems. Again, there was no actual coffee machine, and the A/C barely worked and continued to produce a musty odor. The room felt hot and humid, showed further signs of wear and tear, and the bed sheets were stained (we ended up using our own). Another thing to note is that the TVs are not smart TVs, so there are no streaming services available (Netflix, Prime, etc.). Overall, this hotel is significantly overpriced for the level of quality and cleanliness provided. The only real highlight is its location."

"Staff was super helpful and nice all times of the day, and the room was clean too. I did get woken up by some drilling happening in the room above me (sounded like maintenance) on my first day, but I texted them to stop and it immediately stopped and didn't happen again. The food at the restaurant was great, and they deliver right up to the room. I would stay at this hotel again!"

"Our stay was very close to a lot of things that we wanted to see. Amazing breakfast, great and friendly staff. My only complaint is how small the room was. It looked bigger online. Other than that… great stay."
