We arrived late the evening we checked in. We were all tired from work and driving to our destination. We checked in and the lady checking us in didn’t have the best personality. I asked her was the front the best way to get to our room for we had to unload all of our luggage, etc. She replied that we could come in the front door or backdoor. Well, I didn’t know where the back door was but we drove around to the back. One would have thought to tell a customer that if they had luggage, etc that maybe the front was the best choice since it had a rolling cart and the back didn’t. Anyway, we finally figured out how to get in the back with no help to the girl and we headed to our room. We got in and my husband had to use the restroom so he went to the bathroom and lifted the seat. He come out of bathroom and asked me how much I spent on the room and I told him. He said, it was not worth it if they aren’t going to do their jobs and called me to come to the bathroom to look. I looked and under the toilet, it was disgusting. We called down to the front desk and she said she could move us. We took our keys back downstairs and showed her the picture we took and she just looked at it and shrugged her shoulders like she could care less - no apology or nothing. There was also no continental breakfast of any sort either. Just a few things they need to work on for the price that they charge here. Hopefully they can get them resolved. Other than that, our stay was overall good.

Nice place to sleeep

Nice, spacious room for three adults-private bedroom and sofa bed. Not pristine but acceptable as far as cleanliness-bring shower shoes. front desk staff was polite and welcoming. Most importantly, it was quiet. We didn’t hear other guests coming and going while trying to sleep.

Needs a little help

The hotel could use a little maintenance. The door wouldn’t close correctly. The mirror in the bathroom is your source of light for the vanity. It did not work at all. No shampoo or body wash. I did have three bottles of conditioner though.

Love how close the hotel was to king street and all the major Charleston locations! Everything was so clean and we enjoyed it a lot! Definitely coming back!

All the staff was great during our stay. We had about 10 rooms for a family reunion. Some had issues with a/c and lack of hot water. These issues were never addressed by management. The facility offered our group of 40+ to use the conference room several nights which was great. The breakfast server, Vine, was super sweet. The bar had no frozen ice drinks but was good overall. Accessibility to downtown via driving was convenient. Parking lot was very spacious. Pool was small but adequate for quick dips. There was a fitness room but I didn’t use it. Check in and out was a breeze. Shout out to Sam at the guest desk as well, real nice to deal with. Decent stay but would overall rate 3.5 to 4

Great hotel but no hot water….

Room was really nice! However there was no hot water in the shower. I told the front desk and there was barely a response… just said “oh,really?” And then nothing. I had noticed previous reviews re no hot water but thought they may have fixed it before our stay, but no.Too bad because it’s a nice hotel, location, etc. The breakfast was great and the young ladies who were working in the breakfast area were so nice.

Needs tons of work beware

This hotel looks nice at a distance. There had been complaints about hot water which we did not experience. Lobby was nice elevators have an industrial odor coming from them grease and hot oil. The room everything was damp like soaked bed, flooring walls couch etc. Air-conditioning unit couldnt not keep moisture out of the room. Made mistake 1 time of walking on carpet to get my sandals and wow my feet turned black. Bathroom situation was also a mess. Traveled as a couple and only got 2 bath towels, 1 wash cloth and 2 hand towels. They dont turn rooms over with out asking but every 3 days. Outdoor pool seemed nice but it 2 was lacking in general maintenance. Needs a hard cleaning sand in bottom and algae growing around water line and water was cloudy. All in all i dont think i could stay at this property again. 2.5 out of 5 stars. Just needs a ton of work

Need to update their room cleaning policy, almost every place I stay is back to daily or every other day room cleaning. I was here three nights and not one refresh, had to take my own garbage out.
