Summary:
This sunny first floor unit finished a full remodel spring 2018 to feature 1.5 BR (1 King bed, 1 twin daybed) and 2 full bathrooms. No detail was overlooked, featuring: beautifully restored hardwood floors, a custom-kitchen, refurbished claw foot tub, two separate porches & more!

Enjoy high-end linens & all the comforts of a boutique hotel (quality bath products & towels, hair dryer, iron, WiFi, premium TV channels, etc.) with the added convenience of a full chef-ready kitchen & parking incl.

The Space:
Set back from the street, the apartment overlooks candy-colored historic homes that dot the neighborhood and provides a true Charleston experience for guests. Easily walkable to MUSC, College of Charleston, King Street’s most popular retail and restaurants, & more.

Guest Access:
Inside and outside, especially outside on the two wonderful porches! You also have access to a shared patio on proterty with big Green Egg charcoal grill, charcoal being complimentary of course.

The Neighborhood:
Visitors can enjoy convenient dining options directly next door At Southbound and Ladles Soup/ Across from the apartment; indulge in the city’s most charming bakery – Sugar Bakeshop - located just across the street from the rental; and gab your morning coffee and bagels just down the street at Holey City Bagels! Many of the city’s most notable eateries are located in the Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood, or an easy walk from the rental. O-Ku, Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit, Chez Nous, The Darling Oyster Bar, The Grocery, Indaco, The Ordinary, Xiao Bao Biscuit, Warehouse, Chubby Fish.

Getting Around:
We are only 3 blocks from Upper King Street, so most guests prefer to walk and explore the city. The beach is 15 minutes away by car. There is also a free shuttle offered by the city that runs along King Street (3 blocks away) to popular stops. Bike rentals are available nearby or you might enjoy trying a pedicab taxi. We offer free parking on site or in the lot we manage across the street.

Other Things to Note:
The property has free off-street parking for one car directly beside the home.

Interaction with Guests:
We like to meet our guests when the timing works out upon arrival and get our visitors settled. But when timing doesn't match up we'll leave a key for them to access the rental at your convenience. We're a phone call away if anything comes up during the stay but leave guests to enjoy the rental as their own.

Perfect house near King Street

We are very picky travelers. We’ve stayed at the Charlestonian the past 4 times we’ve visited Charleston because our expectations are exceeded each time. The house is always very clean, well stocked with all we need, close enough to king street (just a quick walk), but far enough to feel a little secluded and tucked in. Plus we love eating at South Bound, which is just a few steps away from the front porch. We will keep renting at the Charlestonian because we feel like a better place doesn’t exist!

Sun-kissed bungalow

We had a wonderful 4 days at this place! The inside is even better than the pictures and it was really comfortable for two people. Tall ceilings, beautiful porch, two bathrooms washer/dryer, great working AC, wonderful location
this property had everything we could have wanted! We have stayed at 3 different properties when visiting Charleston and this was by far our favorite. My biggest complaint is that the front door uses a key fob and it is extremely difficult to open the door. It would often take close to 10 tries to get in
would highly recommend upgrading. One thing to note is that this unit was on the first floor and we could hear our upstairs neighbors all the time. Ear plugs worked well for my boyfriend since he is a very light sleeper but I’m a heavy sleeper and it even woke me up multiple times. Also, we had to reach out to the property manager the night we arrived to find out how to enter the property which was odd
expected him to let us know the day of. Luckily communication was great and we got a quick response. Overall this is a fantastic property and really well done. When we come back to Charleston we will try to stay at this property again!

Love this place

Upon arrival key was exactly where we were expecting it, easy entry, opening door we were so delighted to see how amazing our little place was and very clean. Love that they went extra mile to provide coffee and fixing. They even had tide and dryer sheets if needed. Sheets and towels had monogram. They really covered all details! The property is perfectly locayed and easy safe walk to King Street. The onsitr restaurant "Southbound" was delicious and even featured Foie Gras from a feiends place by us in NY!! Highly recommend this as place to see Charleston

My husband and I had a weekend adventure in Charleston, we were greeted promptly by Elizabeth! Theo's location was so quaint and comfortable! Proximity to events for food and wine classic

This was a great location for entertainment and all of the venues for the Charleston food and wine classic. We were able to walk to all venues, but Uber and Lyft are easily available as well.

Charming in Charleston

We had a fabulous time in Charleston! What an awesome place to stay. Randall was wonderful and gave us great recommendations. Great place next door called Ladles for incredible soups, salads and shrimp & grits. Sugar bakery a few doors away, incredible morning coffee and treats. Restaurant right in front and smelled great every day, but we never got there. Other incredible restaurants, Fig, 82 Queen, Poogan's Porch, Husk (amazing), R Kitchen, outstanding, Reckless Breakfast, outstanding, Chubbies (worth the wait), Lost Isle on John's Island, exceptional and happy hour and $1 oysters--go to the Darling on King. Unbelievable food in this town and we loved it all. Also Ravenel garlic crabs, the best and Bertha's and Hannibals---unbelievable Gullah Geechee soul food. City Market great place to shop and the Magnolia plantation trip great. Had a fabulous time!

Great neighborhood

We loved the interior of the property and felt it was mostly representative of the description except it is literally 15 feet away from a restaurant. Good news, the restaurant is excellent in all ways
bad news, it can be noisy because the porches (pictured in photos, overlook the parking lot, noisy HVAC, garbage can areas and active back of restaurant. The property also adjoins 3 other VRBO’s so you may want to be upstairs where it is more quiet and a bit above the active areas.

Charming Place, Great Location

We loved our stay at 70A Cannon St. What a charming place for an old friend and me to celebrate her special birthday. The accommodations were lovely, and Randall was a perfect host. What a gem he is! Highly recommend this property. I will be back. The proximity to King St. made this house appealing. We didn't ever need a car.

Loved it!

This was our second stay in down town Charleston but our first time staying here, we will definitely be back! Great proximity to shopping and dining, you can’t get much closer to Southbound, we had a fabulous dinner there our last night in town. Any of the higher end restaurants need reservations weeks ahead of time so plan ahead! Everything with the house, neighborhood, communication etc was perfect, our only small complaint and it wouldn’t prevent us from coming back is the shower situation, it’s not ideal but it works. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

We loved the close proximity to King Street and the whole downtown area. The place was clean and so bright and sunny! My only complaint is that there is a restaurant right in front of the property that is open seven days a week. The night staff was very noisy when they were closing the place up
..doors were slamming and the employees were speaking very loud. The noise didn’t stop til around midnight and it made sleeping quite difficult. We did not have the windows open, but we could hear everything! I feel like if the renters have to kept the noise level down after 10pm, the restaurant staff should too!

George thanks so much. Our accommodations were exactly as the pictures showed. To have 2 restaurants ie:(Southbound and Ladls) being 20ft away was awesome. It was a short walk to King st. For anyone going you have to check out Angel Oak, the largest oak tree in SC. and Middletown Plantation. George, we will definitey be back at some point! Thanks again, Jack Connor
