Teal Door Inn-With Fire Pit!
This spot is a conveniently located zen abode! Two queen beds in two separate rooms as well as a spacious living room (with a couch bed). You'll have a TV in each space. Living room and kitchen flow together to create a happy space to relax. You'll find the kitchen is stocked with everything you need (including coffee!) The island in the kitchen is perfect for an after beach snack or a glass of wine following a downtown adventure! An outside firepit and dining area are surrounded by a fence and offer an additional place to chill. Youll enjoy this historic high ceiling home previously used as a community gathering place and market. Your driveway will be perfect for any size trailer. The best part is the beach is 10 minutes away!! Downtown Charleston is only about a 15 min drive too! This gem is becoming an increasingly popular spot to land for a fantastic home away from home.
We loved the place, quiet neighbourhood, close to the facilities, close to the beach, Charleston and many activities. Comfy beds and everything we need to cook.
We only stayed the night, but the house is in a great location. Itâs really close to everything on James Island but itâs tucked away in a quiet area. It was really easy to find, easy check in, and the place was very clean. The bed was really comfortable. It was exactly what we needed for a night with an infant. Would definitely stay here again!
This was our first experience with renting a VRBO and I hope it is not the last but this experience was one of the worst weâve ever had. We were coming to Charleston for a family member wedding and we have two dogs. We needed pet friendly accommodations and based on the pictures and the reviews we chose this location. Upon arrival, we were shocked at the location and even more shocked at how the home and YARD looked. We did not feel safe staying in this home. The fire pit that is part of the listing title is a rusted burn barrel, there is NO grass in the very small yard, only piles and piles of rotting leaves. The picnic table is rotten. The air conditioner unit has gang graffiti written on the side. The furniture inside has stains on it and the trash can in the kitchen was filthy. The length of our stay lasted no more than 30 minutes while we worked to secure alternative accommodations which is challenging when you have two dogs. I contacted the host, who did not include our pets in the confirmation so I reached out to her to let her know about the dogs and we were charged a 60 pet fee for pets that never stayed there. Today I have reached out to the host to request a refund on the visit or at least compensation to cover the cost of have to stay elsewhere and we have received no response. As I said at the beginning, because we travel with pets, we hope to try renting a VRBO home again but that will depend on the outcome of this situation.
We had a great stay and the house was very convenient to the highway and anything we wanted to do. It is also very close to restaurants, coffee shops, and a grocery store.
Had all the amenities one would expect and then some. Place was clean, beds and furniture were comfortable, well equipped, nice fenced yard, quiet area, felt secure during the week and host was most accommodating. Internet was sporadic the first day and you could add some tongs to kitchen tools. Other acutraments were a nice touchâŠie. baby wipes, stroller, etc.
We chose the Teal Door because of the proximity to all wedding festivities and the fact that it was dog friendly. The enclosed backyard was handy for the pup to get some stress free outside time. Was a great home base for 4 adults and although the beds were squeaky, they were surprisingly comfortable. We would definitely stay again if we found ourselves headed to Charleston.
Very easy drive to downtown and Folly Beach. Open concept is very nice. Only 1 bathroom, but we didn't mind sharing. Host was very easy to communicate with and very helpful. Nice backyard area to sit and relax. Plenty of parking.
The venue is very clean and well outfitted. Outside the house looks like an old block building. But inside the rooms are renovated; the furniture is new and clean; the kitchen has new appliances; the bathroom is modern and the shower is forceful and refreshing! We enjoyed our stay!
One of the best STR experiences weâve ever had in the 10 years weâve been coming to CHS. Awesome host and awesome space and convenient for everything we wanted to do. Perfect for my little family.
We enjoyed our stay while in Charleston to see the Southern Living Idea House. The house had a GREAT location close to attractions, interstate, downtown and restaurants. Beds were comfy and we loved the fenced in yard for our dog.
Injured myself trying to walk to gate which I was unaware of distance. So,was unable to attend gathering for meet and greet, nor go to fair! Was unfortunate did not get to do
The property manager was very responsive and helpful. I checked in and noticed that the beds did not have sheets. I told the property manager and she came be within 10 minutes and personally made up the beds. This is a great property and it suited my travel purposes perfectly.
