Sunny Side Up is a duplex located steps from Center Street, the main hub of Folly Beach, where you can find all the local shops, restaurants and bars, and the beach is just a short three blocks away. The entrance to the shared backyard is located between the store called "Native" and the pay to park lot on W Erie, just down a short pathway and behind the privacy fence (see photo with the sign on the fence that reads "Sunny Side Up and Down"). Though this location is located directly on Center St, you still have 1 designated parking spot that the owner has obtained for you just across the street, down E Erie, behind the Crab Shack.

Sunny Side Up features two bedrooms, each one with a queen bed. Each bedroom is equipped with a Smart TV and a fan. Sunny Side Down can comfortably sleep up to 5 people because the sofa conveniently slides out to accommodate an additional person.

Open concept kitchen/dining/living is equipped with a sofa, two club chairs and a high top dining table. The kitchen is fully equipped, less a dishwasher. Outdoors, guests can relax and have a drink on the deck or enjoy the shared courtyard area with a full size grill, outdoor lounge furniture, and an outdoor shower. The private yard is fenced-in and the duplex does allow you to bring your dogs with you, upon approval with our office. Please note: there is one designated parking spot for guests of Sunny Side Down located just across the other side of Center Street.

This is a green property that features solar panels on the roof, all LED lights, and use natural gas for the water heater. It is also a ground level property, making it a great choice for guests who have trouble with stairs.

Folly Beach, or as locals refer to it, The Edge of America, is a laid-back, golf-cart-friendly community with many great restaurants, a booming nightlife, plenty of shopping, water activities, and water tours. For more historic exploring, the famous Downtown Charleston is only a 25 - minute car ride, which offers endless fine dining, shopping, historical sites, and more. There is something for everyone here. We promise you will Folly in love with this beautiful island!

Contactless Check-In: This home offers a keyless entry system, and we will provide the code before your arrival date.
We do not provide beach equipment, but anything available at the property is yours to use.
Check-in time: 4 pm. Check-out time: 10 am.
The Folly Beach noise ordinance is from 10 pm to 8 am.
Parking: There is a designated parking spot for guests of Sunny Side Up located just across the other side of Center Street. You will take the gravel driveway that goes directly behind the Crab Shack restaurant, and there is a labeled spot for Sunny Side up- right next to the Crab Shack parking lot.
This is a non-smoking property.
Pets considered: All pets must be approved by our office before you arrive. Upon approval there is a $150 (plus tax) per pet non refundable pet fee that is due before you arrive. If not already on your reservation, it will be added. Once this is done and the fee paid, you will be all set to bring your pet with you (2 pet max, 60 lb max per pet, no puppies under 1 year old, no cats). Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA and are subject to approval and fees prior to arrival.
No smoking is allowed in or outside of the house.
House parties, weddings, functions, events, bands, DJs, etc., are prohibited.
The occupancy can be at most 5 people at any time during your stay.
We require 50% payment at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of your balance will be due 30 days before the check-in date, and we will run the card on file. Bookings within 30 days of your arrival date require full payment at the time of booking.

22 miles to Charleston Airport.
This property is located near Downtown Folly Beach, close to all of the restaurants and nightlife. Normally quiet hours start at 10pm, but are extended to 11pm on weekends.

If the noise level exceeds the legal limit for FB, you will receive a friendly reminder text message to turn the noise down. This will help avoid any violations with the FB police that can result in fines and revoke the homeowner's business license.

Suppose the occupancy is misrepresented or a disturbance is reported at the property. In that case, we reserve the right to terminate your rental agreement and will require that you vacate the property immediately without a refund. However, we are committed to your and our community's comfort, so please let us know if we can do anything during your stay to make it more enjoyable.

Nice Property/Inconvenient Parking

We enjoyed staying in the property very much. The condo was a great size for our needs. The location was close enough to the beach, restaurants, and shops for us to walk to. The greatest difficulty was finding the location of the property because it was tucked behind another business with no street-side sign. Also, the biggest disappointment and the most frustrating part was that our parking space was across the street, down an alley behind a restaurant. This made unloading and loading our belongings very difficult and annoying. If we had known this part up front, we probably would not have booked this property even though the inside was comfy, clean, and a good size for us.

Nice Apartment in the Heart of Folly Beach

The property is located on Center Street. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Unfortunately it could get quite loud in the evening hours and there was construction going on next door so every morning at 7AM you could hear the very loud noise. That's not the property's fault of course. We bought ear plugs and were able to block out the noise a bit. The apartment was small but it had all amenities you would need for a short beach stay.

Would Not Stay Here Again

The location and parking are abysmal. Though we liked being close to restaurants and the beach, the property is up an alley, through a small walkway, and in via a gate. The parking space is 1 1/2 blocks away; thus, loading and reloading baggage is extremely inconvenient. When we arrived, there was zero space by the property to quickly unload, so we had to carry our luggage, groceries, and beach supplies a long way. The pictures is the listing make the property look larger and cuter than it in fact is. We were very disappointed with the appearance and size when we walked in. The listing says there is a washer and dryer (and there is), but be warned that it’s located outside the house under a sad little awning. Plus, you have to share it with the other guests on the property, so you have to keep a close eye on your clothing. The single parking space is so tiny (both in terms of the space to park and the room behind to turn the vehicle around) that we found parking difficult. Even with one excellent driver, we ended up scraping our vehicle against the tall wooden 4x4 separating spaces. The kitchen is cramped. There are no mirrors besides the one in the bathroom. The air conditioning is pumped in via an auxiliary unit that stands on the floor of the main living area. The unit is a little larger than a small refrigerator. Overall, the air conditioning is inadequate; you must use the giant fans in the bedroom to be cool enough for sleep.

The only issue I really had with the property was that there was only a single mirror in the entire apartment, and it was in the bathroom so if someone was in there using the bathroom, others could not really get ready. It would have been nice to have mirrors in the bedrooms, even just a mirror that hangs on the back of the door. Overall, we had a great trip at this location.

18 and 19 year olds really enjoyed proximity to Charleston. Beach is nice. Not quite as much to do on folly for 18-20 year olds. More families and 21+. Really enjoyed the apartment! Felt safe, quiet and easy to get to beach and Charleston.
