Cabin At A Wildlife Sanctuary - Diego’s Cabin

Have you ever wanted the opportunity to feed an egg to a fox? Or feed a lemurs? Hand feed a deer or sheep? Dance with a cockatoo? If so you’ll get to have these and many more experiences here during your stay. Our Cabin is different, and our main focus is on offering rememberable experiences to our guests.

*Things to note:
1. this is a farm, and it’s located in Florida so we tend to have bugs (grasshoppers, lizards, palmetto bugs, ants, mosquitoes, etc) that like to hang around. Even though we have a pest control company that sprays/treats our property on a regular basis this does not guarantee that you will not get a visit from one of our less desirable friends. We do not offer any refunds for this experience.

2. We are located 1/4 mile down a dirt road that sometimes gets a bit bumpy. I have a Honda Civic Coupe that has no problems getting down the road, but you may not like the dirt road experience.

3. FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR ANIMALS WE HAVE 24/7 VIDEO SURVEILLANCE OF ALL OUTDOOR PREMISES.*

We have a small family run 501C-3 wildlife sanctuary here on our 18 acre facility that you will be staying at. We do live on the property, but in a detached house across the driveway

Dona and her family were very accommodating. The cabin was super cute and comfortable. It was awesome to wake up and see animals outside our windows. The tour of the animal sanctuary was very informative and interactive!! You should definitely check them out if you’re in the area!!

Dona and her mother were both very kind and accommodating. Their sanctuary for the animals was most interesting. Our two dogs enjoyed seeing them all: sheep, goats, horses, deer, peacock, cattle and others we didn’t see because it was rather cold while we were there. The cabin was very clean and we definitely had everything we needed for our stay. I would highly recommend staying at the Wildlife Sanctuary especially if you are looking for a change of pace place.

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying here and an amazing tour with Mrs A. Memories that will last a lifetime! Being able to feed and interact with most of the animals was incredible. Love that this is a sanctuary for rescue animals and truly admire the hard work of keeping the animals safe and healthy. The cabin was cozy and cute even for 4 ppl and very clean and all the streaming you could want. One of the best trips we’ve taken. Plan to come back again! Maybe rent the bigger cabin.

Great weekend get away. Very pet friendly. Dona and her mom were extremely polite and caring. Dona was very knowledgeable about the animals she cares for.I would recommend a stay here to friends, co workers, or family.

Wonderful! My wife and I love to travel but hotels and motels are not our style. This chummy place was absolutely Wonderful. Instead of city noises, sirens, horns honking, engines and blaring load music, you hear birds, sheep, peacocks and other wildlife! Peaceful paradise! The owner Donna was very kind and accessible. Definitely will be back.We stayed at "Diego's Cabin". Perfect for two people with enough room for us to have friends stop by and hang out for a bit. Highly recommend this property for a different kind of overnight stay.

FANTASTIC STAY

My mother, myself, and my 2 kids aged 14 and 2 stayed here and had the best time of our lives. We left STILL talking about all the animals and the different encounters we had. Diego's cabin is literally surrounded by animals. All we had to do was look out a window to experience yet another animal. Kevin the peacock is my daughter's new best friend and she is still asking to go feed the piggie. Dona was amazing. Great communication and you can hear the passion she has for the place whenever she speaks about her animals. Her husband even changed my flat tire for me! (Flat was unrelated to their property grounds just to clarify). The cabin was perfect, comfortable, and a great place to hang out in between animal visits. The kitchen has everything we needed. It was such a a memorable experience we hope to come back!

Cute Cabin

This Vrbo stay was just what we needed. We came to Florida for multiple funerals so it wasn’t a happy trip but our Host made this process so much easier and it was so nice to see all the animals on the property.
