Property is old and has not been renovated in a long time. Had 2 closets with no doors, tub/shower unit looked like it was the original. Shower rod had been installed several times and curtain wouldn't stay closed on either end. Was provided with bath towel only. Had to ask for wash cloths and hand towel which we were asked why we needed them. Owners are just cheap and cut corners. Sofa was old, dirty, with broken down cushions.

First room we were given was not clean, floor was tacky, sliding door glass filthy, area on walls dirty, couch was old and dirty. Second room was a little better. Rooms lack general maintenance. Staff people were cordial and tried to be helpful.

The hotel room was dirty and several of the surrounding units were being used as a welfare hotel many units had loud parties and seedy characters walking around the property smoking marijuana and drinking in public. I was disappointed for what I paid and never felt safe.

Very run down and lots of crackheads staying there!! Sheets were wrinkled and stained...toilet was not bolted to the floor and it was just nasty. We DID NOT STAY!! The smell of pot, crack, and meth was absolutely horrible on our way back to the vehicle!!!

My stay at hawthorn hotel was great and I enjoyed my vacation there,next time I’ll contact Travelocity to search for another good hotel like hawthorn( had every day awesome breakfast! Finally God bless Travelocity and it’s work.

Beautiful suites with too many amenities to count.
This place really provides exceptional rooms and customer service. I plan on staying here every week I visit for the next few months. U get the most bang for ur buck here n I actually feel like that's an understatement. I highly recommend Hawthorn Suites to anyone visiting the Dayton area.

Great layout for families
Location:We were there to visit the Air Force Museum
We had a wonderful stay and the boys loved sleeping in the loft like big boys. They had their own bathroom which meant we could spread out in ours. Comfortable room. Even though we only stayed one night we could definitely appreciate how great it would be to have that much space for multiple nights. Brought leftovers home from dinner since we had a standard size refrigerator. They had a play area which we didn't use but we saw another family's kids wearing themselves out on the multipurpose court.

Chosen because they accept pets
Pros:They were very friendly. A very nice hot breakfast was available in the morning.
Cons:Ii might be better to not have carpeting in rooms that allow dogs. More attention to detail by the maintenance staff would help. Replace old beds
Location:It's kinda hard to get to from the highway.
The place has an interesting layout, with a long skinny parking lot that forces you to unload and then park a distance from your room. Their dog walking area is nice,but would be better if it were completely fenced in so you could let your dog run around for a few minutes off leash. The room we had was fairly nice; basically clean and comfortable, but the bed needed to be thrown in the dumpster and replaced. Maintenance could be improved also. The toilet was leaking and there was a puddle on the floor.

Easy on and off I75 near Dayton and comfy
Pros:It was close to the highway, quiet, pleasant, comfortable and near a range of dining options.
Cons:The exhaust fan in the shower/commode is nearly exhausted and didn't remove steam/humidity very much at all.
Location:A range of shopping choices were nearby as were a wide range of dining choices.
This was my first time at Hawthorne by Wyndom but I will look for other opportunities to stay at a similar facility. While this facility is not new, it is well-kept and a delight at the end of a long day's drive. Being close to a major thoroughfare, it was surprisingly quiet, even though my apartment was nearest the highway. The sitting area has a working fireplace, a small writing desk, a comfortable love seat and coffee table, and a nice TV with a good roster of programming. The queen size bed was very comfortable with good bedside tables with good lights. The shower/commode are separate from the dressing area with its sink, very large mirror and great lighting. Carpeting wasn't new, but clean. There is a working kitchen with a minimum of china and utensils and cooking pans, a microwave and coffee maker, a refrig with ice maker, and a dishwasher. Two bar stools at a breakfast bar. There was an ironing board, but one needed to get an iron from the office. A small pool outside and a place to shoot hoops for exercise. A pleasant breakfast was available in the office building which is separate. Others also stayed in this block of apartments, but the walls are well sound insulated. Temp control was very good, too. There are many dining options nearby.
