CASUAL STAY

It was a very nice room, very spacious. The few things that needed attention was the refrigerator was iced up, it still worked but not as well as it could have. Also, the toilet seat was loose so I tightened that as well. Although we didn't use it, it was nice to know that there was a shuttle available to take us to the game. We already had a parking pass so we didn't use the shuittle.

Not Great - given poor view and would not budge

We have stayed at Motor City many times and usually enjoy it. The room itself was fine, but they gave us literally the worst view in the building. When checking in I didn't realize until we got to the elevator that we were on floor 3 that was literally one floor above the lobby and directly in front of the Public Casino parking lot. There was no view and it was loud at night as people were coming and going. I called immediately when we entered the room and told them that we have never stayed in room this low and facing the parking structure. They asked if I asked the person checking us in for a higher room and I said no but I have never had to before. She said that they were fully booked and could not accommodate my request. I went down to talk in person to someone and the front desk receptionist was very nice and understood, she went and talked to the manager and came back and said the manager said there was nothing they could do. Did not come out to speak with me or offer anything like a comp or even an apology. This was very disappointing, maybe if I didn't book through hotels.com they would have accommodated and given us some concession? Not sure but we felt like we were not valued at all as patrons past and present. We will not stay there again and I will be staying at the other 2 Casinos downtown from now on. They seem to value their customers more than Motor City...
