Hotel experience was great. VIP food credit was not used because they dont give you a voucher. You have to put the food bill on your room to get the credit. This didnt work as we only had breakfast there and had already checked out of the room. The shuttle to downtown driver told us he would pick us up where he dropped us off...Well we were first in line after our concert. Waited forever only to have the driver pick up on the opposite side of the road leaving us to have to wait forever again because there was no room on the first shuttle.

The first room (912) had dirty bedding upon my checking in. When I came back downstairs and advised the employee who checked me in that the bed linen was unclean and that I was requesting a room change, she immediately appeared annoyed outwardly. There was no apology for the inconvenience or experience, she just asked for my room key, punched in a few things on the computer and issued me a new key for room 1129. I’m unaware of her name but she is an older black woman who apparently has carpal tunnel considering the hand and/or wrist wrap she had on. The new room was better but not by leaps and bounds. This was not a good first impression traveling from GA. I’m speaking with some friends who reside or use to reside in Detroit, they stayed I should have inquired about this hotel as they would not have recommended it at all. I know better next time, check with the locals! Aside from the hotel experience which was very lackluster I had an amazing experience visiting the various museums and other tourist attractions Detroit had to offer.
