We had a great stay! The room was spacious and had the amenities that we needed. The pool was a big hit with our kids. The breakfast was good, not great. Staff was always friendly.

The place was dirty- the halls were filthy like they hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks, the beds were uncomfortable, the settings on the tub didn’t work- handful of settings and only the on and off ones worked, the handles were leaking out of the bottom, hair in the tub when we arrived so not properly cleaned, the heater only worked on one side and that side was overly hot.

Great rate. Get what you pay for. Hotel right next to railroad track and the highway. Breakfast was very disappointing with few options mostly gone when we went. The garbages were overflowing. Smells of smoke when you first enter the lobby. There were two different sized towels in the room. I called for additional towels and they never arrived until I called again in the morning. I did receive a text stating the towels were in the dryer and it might be a while. The tv power and volume on the remote didn’t work, had to figure out how to manually change the volume.

Schönes Hotel

It’s a good value. Clean and the staff is nice. The only thing I can’t stand is the room doors, at least on the third floor, aren’t the right size for their frames. Why is this an issue? When you’re trying to sleep, the bright light from the hallway seeps into the room. We put the couch pillows in front of the crack to block it out. Also, it would be nice if they had blackout curtains. Other than those cosmetic things, the rooms are comfortable and the location is convenient if you’re heading downtown for concerts or sporting events.
