A great base to explore Scotland's central belt from. The property itself was quiet (in a lovely rural location), clean and comfortable, and had everythign we needed.
The rooms were big, garden good for our dog, but we kept her on her long lead, as she could get under the main gate.
Don't follow the sat nav for directions at end point as it will take you the rough road round. Our own fault, owner gave directions before hand. Keep following the the road past the pethotel. Keeping it to your right, and it will swing round to fernlea cottage.
Villages and nice walking very close by. Although you feel nice a secluded.
We would stay here again. There was only 2 of us, but there is easily enough room for 4 without feeling like your on top of one another.
