Very quiet location with great views of the lake during the day and the stars at night. House is laid out well and we liked the decorations and furnishings. The kitchen was a gathering spot for the whole family and it was nice to be able to get groceries and cook some meals together. They also had a lot of outdoor seating and dining available. It was too hot out for us to take advantage of the fire pit, but I did try out the propane fire feature on the deck and really enjoyed that. ( I think I will buy one for my own house now...LOL) The place had everything we needed and then some. I doubt we will ever go back to staying in a hotel--this was so much better! The hosts were easy to communicate with and checked on us throughout the stay. They even let us know that we accidentally left some of our belongings behind and made arrangements to get them to us. Would definitely recommend.

Golf trip getaway

This was the second year staying at this property. The home is great. The owner was most accommodating and responded quickly to emails. Unfortunately the weather wasn't optimum to take advantage on the lake when we were not golfing or visiting with friends in the area. Will be staying here again next year and recommending it to other friends who would appreciate the quiet area and fishing the lake (especially if they have kids).

A hidden gem

There is something special about this place! The owners make you feel like family and are extremely responsive and accommodating. House was very clean, has everything you need ( from first aid kits, ziplock bags, k-cups, games, you name they have it!). The views of the lake are so peaceful (and can be seen while lying in bed from two of the bedrooms) and it was the perfect place for our family to relax, unwind and regroup from our long days at the soccer fields! We can’t wait to go back.

Lovely place and location

From start to finish the place was lovely, relaxing and fun. Kitchen had all the necessities, the place was cute and clean, and the views were phenomenal. The pictures are accurate to the place as well. Amy was kind and helpful, she kept in contact as needed and was super helpful finding places to eat and hike. My family and I look forward to coming back soon!

We stayed in this cottage for a long weekend getaway. The cottage was perfect. When they say that it has everything you need they were accurate. Its incredibly peaceful. Very clean. Excellent views. Would go back again.

Incredible stay

I must say through the pictures I thought this place would be nice. I was right but the pictures do not give it justice of how beautiful the place really is. I truly believe the group and I seen the most beautiful sunset we will ever see. We had a great time. The hosts are the most genuine and nice people. Any questions at any time they were there with answers. I will be 100% returning with friends and family in the future.

Allegheny College Graduation

We enjoyed your home for a few days while attending graduation events. We were able to easily find everything we needed to cook meals in and enjoyed a few local restaurants too. We didn't have time to use the bikes or kayaks but it's a great location to do so. Comfortable home, very peaceful and quiet area.

Edinboro Graduation

Our family rented The Castle for the weekend to attend our son's graduation from Edinboro U. It was perfect for us and the decks provided great spaces for us to entertain our son's friends and their parents for an party after commencement. We just wish we had more time to take advantage of the lake and other activities available to us.

Beautiful setting

Everything you need is provided from the backyard firepit, front deck gas fireplace, lovely furniture, and a well stocked kitchen. We love tge views and the focus on outdoor space. We’ll be rebooking!

Quick Get Away Trip

The cottage was decorated nicely and appreciated reading the book of the owner renovations. The living room furniture and beds were comfortable and the cottage had an overall charm about it. I loved the oven and the island in the kitchen area. The owner had plenty of supplies for us to use. We had an issue with the internet while we were there, but Amy was quick to respond and notify the cable company.
