Tranquility on the River Four is a relaxing and refreshing 3BR/2.5BA townhome on the Big Thompson River. This mountain retreat offers mesmerizing views of Longs Peak and the Continental Divide from the banks of the Big Thompson. Aspen groves and spruce trees surround this truly perfect riverfront escape.
Located on Hwy 66, this townhome is just a few minutes from the south entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, and walking distance to the Rock Inn, a favorite local eatery.
The first floor features the open-concept living, kitchen and dining areas. The oversized rustic table in the dining area comfortably seats six. The kitchen has full-size appliances and everything necessary for a home-cooked meal. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the living area let in plenty of natural light while showcasing the view of the river and the foothills of the Rockies.
Just past the living area is a door leading out to the deck, with immaculate views of the Big Thompson River and the Rocky Mountain foothills.
To the right of the living area is the master bedroom, with a king bed, beautiful views, a walk-in closet and an ensuite bath.
At the top of the stairs is the lounge area and the second full bath. Flanking the lounge on either side are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed.

Parking for 4 cars - 2 in the garage and 2 in the driveway.

No large vehicles, i.e. RVs, trailers.

Estes Park is a DARK SKY community - Please bring a flashlight

Guests buy their own soaps/paper items when provided starter kit items are depleted.

BEARS in the area - secure trash, lock doors and windows when leaving.

This home does not have a weekly trash pick up service. Trash will be picked up at departure. If necessary, trash will be picked up mid-stay for a nominal fee. Call the office at 970-480-8845. Trash must not overflow the bear proof trash can or be stored in the garage or home.

We reserve the right to conduct a property safety check during long term stays.

Local On-Call Staff available after hours for emergency issues only, i.e. gas leak, broken furnace, broken water line.

Plowing/shoveling occurs when we have 4 inches of fresh snow on the ground prior to your arrival.

Management provides a starter kit of amenities (an extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, one extra roll of paper towels, 2-3 garbage bags, sample-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner, small bar soap, 2-3 laundry powder packs, 4-5 dishwashing pods, and liquid dishwashing soap). Guests will need to provide or purchase additional toiletries and products as needed beyond this starter kit.

Long-term reservations of 14+ days require mid-stay property safety checks or mid-stay cleans, additional trash pickups and hot tub services. These are charged to the guest, and charges can only be added after your reservation is made. Management will call the guest directly for payment for the following required services.

A Lovely house with lots of room for hanging out. The babbling river with elk visitors is amazing! Kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans and utensils. Great quiet neighborhood and very close to RMNP.

Family wedding

We stayed for a week and could not have picked a better place! The windows were amazing. The creek behind the property was really nice. We had wild turkeys, mule deer, and elk out back multiple days. Quick drive to town or RMNP. Lots of space for the family yet felt very cozy. We’ll rent this one again for sure!

Wonderful location, great accomodations

We loved our stay here! We stayed for an extended period of time with our family. Lovely location by the river and the house was well apportioned. Great communication with the property management. Would be happy to stay here again.

The property was very nice. The couple of issues we had were taken care of immediately.

The property was centrally located, which made it easy to do all the sight seeing we had planned. Watching the wildlife daily/nightly and fishing in the river behind the house was the icing on the cake. Couple of suggestions are have an extra set of towels in the linen closet instead of just 1 towel person. Sometimes you need an extra towel or two. And fix the screens on doors. With no A/C it would have helped with air flow to cool the place off. When we were there it was record highs in the 90’s. Thank you for quickly responding on the couple of issues we needed resolved. We would recommend the fact and area to stay.

Many items need to be repaired & cleaned better!

It was a beautiful location. The washer & dryer did not work- we were told it was going to be replaced & it never happened. Blood on the comforter, showers were not clean, screens need fixed & some light bulbs need replaced. Overall we enjoyed the property. We loved the river & wildlife!

Perfect spot in Estes Park

Our family loved our stay! The location on the river provided the perfect backdrop for our quick getaway. We spent our nights watching the elk graze by the river. Close to RMNP and downtown Estes. We will be back!

Great property and location. Super close to park and downtown. View is amazing, even better than pics. We would definitely book again. Minor annoyance was blinds that were broken and removed from one large bedroom window prior to our arrival. When we notified Management their weren't any solutions available.

Nice place

Good location and set up. Property had everything we needed, except don't plan to do laundry while you're here. There was mildew visibly growing in the machine. A note in the visitor log from May said the same thing. Contacted the property manager. They were aware of the problem and offered to come try to clean the machine, but we had no confidence it would solve the issue. Otherwise, loved the sound of the river, spending time on the deck, and the proximity to RMNP. The retractable awning is a nice feature. Good place to stay while visiting Estes.

Amazing Place!

We loved every minute spent in your lovely house. We had everything we needed and especially loved the beautiful views of the river and the elk that visited every day! It was so peaceful and convenient to shopping, dining, and Rocky Mountain. National Park. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the fireplace on cool nights. It was the perfect place for us!

Fantastic stay - so much wildlife!

Mother daughter weekend away and this place was perfect. Beautiful, easy access to Estes and RMNP. Office staff responsive to fireplace not working and took care of it within hours of calling. We had so much wildlife in the yard - elk, deer, turkeys - was so much fun. The river is beautiful - will absolutely be back!

2nd time here

This was our second time staying in this home and we plan to come back next year! The location can’t be beat, in relationship to town and RMNP entrance. Waking up to the sounds and views of Big Thompson River out the back door and windows is priceless.

Wonderful return to Estes

This was a beautiful, spacious and spectacular VRBO for our vacation. There were 6 of us, 3 perfect bedrooms, and a very open and bright common area with tremendous views. Would definitely stay here again!!
