Tranquility on the River Three is a relaxing and refreshing 3BR/2.5BA townhome on the Big Thompson River. This mountain retreat offers stunning views of Longs Peak and the Continental Divide from the banks of the Big Thompson. Aspen groves and spruce trees surround this truly perfect riverfront escape. Located on Hwy 66, it is just a few minutes from the south entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, and walking distance to the Rock Inn, a favorite local eatery.
The first floor features the open-concept living, kitchen and dining areas. The oversized rustic table in the dining area comfortably seats six. The kitchen has full-size appliances and everything necessary for a home-cooked meal. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the living area let in plenty of natural light while showcasing the view of the river and the foothills of the Rockies. Just past the living area is a door leading out to the deck, with immaculate views of the Big Thompson River and the Rocky Mountain foothills. To the right of the living area is the master bedroom, with a king bed, beautiful views, a walk-in closet and an ensuite bath. At the top of the stairs is the lounge area, featuring a pool table and the second full bath. Flanking the lounge area on either side are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. Tranquility on the River Three has everything needed to be the perfect base camp for your Rocky Mountain adventure. One of three properties managed by the same company in the Rambling River community, it is perfect for a larger group or family reunion. Book your stay today!

Estes Park is a DARK SKY community - Please bring a flashlight

Guests buy their own soaps/paper items when provided starter kit items are depleted.

BEARS in the area - secure trash, lock doors and windows when leaving.

This home does not have a weekly trash pick up service. Trash will be picked up at departure. If necessary, trash will be picked up mid-stay for a nominal fee. Call the office at 970-480-8845. Trash must not overflow the bear proof trash can or be stored in the garage or home.

We reserve the right to conduct a property safety check during long term stays.

Local On-Call Staff available after hours for emergency issues only, i.e. gas leak, broken furnace, broken water line.

Plowing/shoveling occurs when we have 4 inches of fresh snow on the ground prior to your arrival.

Management provides a starter kit of amenities to get you through your first day, including: an extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, one extra roll of paper towels, 2-3 garbage bags, sample-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner, small bar soap, 2-3 laundry powder packs, 4-5 dishwashing pods, liquid dishwashing soap, and a single brew coffee pack. Guests will need to provide or purchase additional toiletries and products as needed beyond this starter kit.

Long-term reservations of 14+ days require mid-stay property safety checks or mid-stay cleans, additional trash pickups. Safety checks are at no additional charge. Mid-stay cleanings include linens change, floors, bathrooms and light surface cleaning. Mid-stay services are charged to the guest, and charges can only be added after your reservation is made. Management will call the guest directly for payment for the required services. Call our office for details.

The location is unmatched during elk bugling season. There's a game trail across the river right outside. Easy park access. Beautiful house. They don't want you to play in the river, so let that factor in to your expectations. Highly recommend.

We LOVED this townhome, perched beside a bend in the river where we could enjoy the sound of rushing water and many elk coming to drink and graze. It is an end unit so lots of natural light too!

Easy Access to RMNP and Close to Main Street

The property had everything you need to cook or bbq. It was really close to a local market. We enjoy cooking breakfast and dinner and having lunch in town. The rooms were nicely furnished and the pool table was a hit in the evenings. The dining table is huge, so we did a puzzle on one end. Not too many tourists for this time of year, but the fires might have kept people away. We saw deer, hummingbirds, magpies, but no fish. That's ok. The weather was cool in the evenings and the nighttime breezes were great. This location does not have air-conditioning--no problem. Great time had by all!

If You’re Looking for Quiet Getaway Book This Property!

My husband and I were looking for a nice quiet get away before the hustle and bustle of the holidays and this house and beautiful surroundings fit the bill! The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable with large windows showing off the scenery. The kitchen was the perfect size and bathrooms were lovely. All the bedrooms were well decorated with comfortable beds. Highly recommend and will stay again.

This is our second time staying at this property. Just can’t beat the river in the backyard, picturesque views, abundant windows and space for our whole family. The property is very clean and the kitchen had all the amenities we needed. The wifi worked well. I will say that we were disappointed that the tv was not a smart tv so we were unable to use our streaming services. Also we were unable to get the dvd player to play movies. But we did enjoy spending time playing pool! Would definitely stay here again!

This vacation rental was great. We had elk walk right in front of the back window. It has great reviews. We did have a maintenance issue but it was taken care of promptly. The only complaint I have was that we were notified by management that they had to access our unit due to a wi fi issue in the unit next door and we were already gone on a hike without cell service so they allowed someone in our unit without our knowledge or the ability to be present.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location couldn't be better -- very convenient and close to both Rocky Mountain Natl Park and to downtown Estes Park. The river in back is amazingly close to the back deck and you can watch it through the big window when inside. We really enjoyed the high ceilings, pool table, spacious kitchen, and other things. It wasn't perfect: there was a little mold in the downstairs shower, one window blind didn't work, the washer only worked on the "quick wash" cycle, and there were really only comfortable seats in the living room for three people, as the glider love seat was very uncomfortable. Overall, though, it's hard to imagine a more enjoyable place to stay for the price. Would definitely come back.
