Historic Home: Walking distance to historic square, beach, & hiking trail!


Heavenhill, built in the 1890s, is not your typical home away from home! Quirky and quiet yet so close to the square it is a perfect set up for a family, girls' weekend, or even for writers and journalists. Shelbie, an interior designer and historic preservationist, wanted to keep the historic integrity of the home yet make it comfortable for modern times.

The cottage boasts two bedrooms (Gallery Room: full Bed and Quilt Room: two twin beds) with two full bathrooms including a fully equipped kitchen, living room, and pantry/utility room with a washer and dryer. An old, enormous pecan tree shades the comfortable back porch stocked with quality rocking chairs and a patio with a picnic table. If you like to cook out
well there is also a grill for anyone to use!

The base prices is for double occupancy. Additional guests’ fee is $25/guest/night plus hotel tax. Please make sure to specify the correct number of guests for your visit. Children of all ages are considered an additional guest.

Heavenhill is in walking distance to Hewlett Park and the City Beach (seriously just MINUTES!). If you like antiquing, then you are in luck! Heavenhill & Witherspoon’s Antique Mall share backyards! Located just 3 blocks from the square, you can do almost everything by foot or bike! If you like to take long walks or ride your bike then you can hop on “The Moments in Time” hike and bike trail which is right in front of Hh!

I have exterior security cameras placed around the premises. I do not have any cameras inside the cottage.

Quaint little cottage. Such a fun place to stay. It was so easy to walk to downtown square and across to the park and lake. So many interesting things to look at in the house and it was great to learn the history of this cottage and also the restoration of it. Perfect for my sister and I.

Adorable historic house!

We just loved this place! This historic home is just filled with comfort and charm. And you can't beat the location. Close enough to walk to the square, and just far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle. We loved the covered patio out back with comfortable rocking chairs. We will be back.

A Great Weekend Getaway

I needed to get out of town for a weekend and the Heaven Hill House was the perfect location to call home base. Great location, easy to get where I needed to to, and the house itself had great amenities and resources for deciding what to do. Very thankful for the chance to stay here!

This was the most charming home! Built in the 1890’s the integrity of the history was intact while still having all the modern conveniences. So warm and cozy with a special touch at every turn. So much love and attention in every little detail. The Christmas decorations just added to the charm. Will most definitely return to this special home!

Charming cozy home

The home was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Everything about the house was warm and inviting. It’s the kind of place you hate to leave and want to come back and stay again.
