Spacious rooms with onsen tub on deck that is incredible. Loved the supplied clothing and the atmosphere that created. Room was well equipped and very comfortable. The buffet restaurant was amazing and even better when not busy. Staff was very helpful and a short fully indoors walk to family mart was very convenient. The complimentary ice cream was a nice touch. Would absolutely return. Incredible views from rooms and the garden is spectacular.

Mountain view was so beautiful. Alongside with beautiful private onsen in every room. Staff greeted you as you enter and leave. Amazing garden in the basement along with free drinks, ice cream and hot foot baths while waiting for your room. Best part was the buffet breakfast and dinner! Highly recommend!

We stayed at Ten-Yu in Hakone and had a wonderful experience. The facilities were excellent, and the view from the hotel was stunning – a perfect little break from city life. Our 7-year-old especially loved the “unlimited ice cream,” which made the stay even more memorable for her. The food was overall great, though we noticed that fruit options at breakfast were a bit limited considering the hotel’s price point. Everything else, from the service to the ambiance, was excellent. We would definitely recommend Ten-Yu for a relaxing getaway!

The location was great and higher up the mountain. Ten-Yu had their own shuttle bus from Gora Station so that was helpful. The breakfast and dinner buffet had a lot of variety! A surprise was the massage chair in the room which we fully took advantage of. We only stayed for one night but wish we did two nights to fully relax and enjoy all the amenities. Thank you Ten-Yu for a wonderful experience for our Anniversary Japan trip!

I reserved a double bed room (for 2 people) but the system defaults to 1 adult and I didn’t realize it. When I checked in, they charged me additional 50% cost for the second person. The hotel has beautiful Mountain View but very crowded over the weekend. I had a room with private open air hot springs in the balcony but the balcony is too small and had lots of bugs.

I liked the authentic look and theme of the onsen. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Really enjoyed my time there and the culture. Shame it was just for one night. Oh , P.S. if you intend to use the onsen, you are expected to be in there totally nude, and washed clean before getting in. Sure it's a bit weird of a custom, but worth the experience.
