The staffs are well-trained and welcoming. Instructions to the hotel is also quite clear. Food is really delicious and offer a wide range of selections. The only thing is that during our stay, maybe because the room is also right next to the hallway, there were weird noises like people stepping in and out. It's an overall nice experience disregarding the noise part.

A really great family hotel in the heart of Hakone. It’s very clean, the staff are absolutely amazing and the kids can enjoy free access to Yunessun (the onsen water park next door). We enjoyed the buffet food, unlimited ice cream, and all sorts of drinks and snacks peppered around the lobby floor. They just look after you very well here. If you have kids, I definitely recommend staying here for a few days while exploring Hakone and enjoying the onsens. We will come back again.

Clean nice room, great service, very good shabu-shabu. A good two nights stay with yung kids who were happy playing in a hot spring water park in a cold winter. Easy use with Hakone Freepass to enjoy a full Hakone loop trip.

Hotel was amazing. Staff greeted us as we were walking in from a distance (Got off the bus station and took interesting route to hotel). Staff walked us to the room. Room was very spacious. We had view of the whole valley. It had an open air bath on the balcony if you didn’t want to do the Onsen. Dinner was delicious. We had the buffet and options were endless. There is “unlimited” ice cream from a vending machine (ask staff for a coin). Onsen was clean (only did one side so don’t know what other side was like). There was an indoor and outdoor. Unfortunately, it is remote. We took a taxi to get to Lake Ashi and took awhile to get one (we went early in the morning). I would have loved to stay 2 nights. Hopefully next time.

We have over 60 stamps collected this year and have been a Hotel.Com gold for the past 3 years. Hakone Hotel TEN-Yu has been the very first to offer the upgrade room where available benefit as a Gold member. Thank you for that. The Hotel itself is amazing. The Suite Room with private onsen is breathtaking. Buffet breakfast is excellent. Thanks all the staff for working over Christmas. We didn't have a chance to experience the Yunessun but it looked fun.

Outstanding quality accommodation! From arrival we were blown away - excellent staff and service, arrival refreshments, comfortable rooms and exceptional onsen facilities and buffet breakfast options. The surrounding gardens are beautiful and the free shuttle bus to and from Gora station, along with the 1min walk-thru to the Yunnesun Onsen and Hakone Tozan Bus stop, is very convenient. I wish we'd stayed more than 1 night. Our kids loved the free ice cream vending machine too - what a fun treat! This hotel puts a lot of thought into their facilities, customer service, and added value for guests. Truly 5 stars! Would love to stay again!!
