A beautiful hotel. We had a large and well appointed bedroom on 6th floor with a balcony overlooking the stunning green landscape with a spring water bath and swing chair. Staff can’t do enough and you feel very well looked after. Nice touches such as free drinks and ice cream. Wonderful onsen and Japanese garden. Very extensive breakfast buffet. It’s a large hotel and was very noisy when we arrived but was quiet and peaceful after that and had a wonderful air of calmness. Get very clear and detailed instructions from hotel on where to pick up shuttle bus from Gora station to hotel on arrival as this was very confusing from information given which needed to be much clearer.

The hotel and overall stay were very good, and I appreciated the service and comfort. However, one of the key reasons I chose this booking was the advertised credit of around 6,000 yen, which was not honored during my stay. This was clearly stated in the description, so it was very disappointing to find out it wasn’t available. I felt misled, and unfortunately, that significantly impacted my experience. Transparency and accurate information are essential when making travel decisions, which is why I’ve rated this experience 1 star. I hope this issue is addressed for future guests.

The perfect hotel in Hakone

The Hotel grounds are beautiful. The staff were incredible. I booked this to celebrate getting engaged earlier that day. The staff was very kind and just as happy as we were. I am very confused by the negative reviews. This hotel was incredible. We did the set course dinner and it was great. Many unique foods we never would have tried. The breakfast buffet was great. I would recommend staying 2 nights here to fully enjoy the amenities. 10/10 if we come back go Hakone we will stay here again.

This was a top-notch accommodation which exceeded all our expectations. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The dining options were spectacular. The attention to detail in the service and the range of complimentary snacks and drinks at the lobby were amazing as well. We especially loved the onsen, which was the highlight of our trip - the outdoor onsen with views of the garden lit up at night was simply bedazzling. The shuttle buses running to and fro Gora Station made transportation relatively accessible, and we found the location of the property quite central to the different spots we wanted to visit. In short, I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic stay in Hakone.
