This hotel was very disappointing. The room smelled like urine, the lamp was broken and falling over and there were live cockroaches in the room.

When I stay at a hotel, the bathroom will make or break my experience. The bathrooms at the Days Inn are way overdue for an update. While the bathroom seemed relatively clean, it was so worn that the cleanliness did not matter much. The hallways have scuff marks, and the hotel did not have a comfy feeling. Parking was fine. The bed was ok, but you can hear everything through the thin walls.

The hotel was run down. The staff was rude. The room was disheveled. One lamp shade was held on the frame by a piece of scotch tape. It fell apart in the night. Just not a place you'd ever want to stay. The airport shuttle was a generic van that did not have signage about the hotel on in so we missed several chances to catch it because we didn't know what to look for. The front desk guy said he explained which van to catch to me but his accent was so strong, I could not understand what he was telling me. Just a poor situation all around.

Where do I start. I love the airplanes flying to and from the airport. It must remind me of when I was a baby and we lived under the flight path for LAX. But this time, it was extra hard for me at Days Inn. I checked in and, same as last time, there was something wrong with the room. This time it was a toilet handle that did not even go down, let alone flush. I was moved to another room, but there was no acknowledgement of how tiring this was for me, as I had put all my stuff away, schlepped up the stairs, etc. and the woman downstairs never even said "I'm sorry". I am 64, and in fairly good shape, but I was tired and hungry. Then the next morning I realized my toilet did not flush properly. WARNING, I'm going to be graphic: it took 6 flushes to flush down a you-know-what. When I said this to the front desk she showed no emotion at all and was upset that I told her to please look me in the eye (She had looked down at her phone for a moment, just a moment, but that is still really rude when a guest is complaining.) She was so mad I mentioned this that I ended up apologizing (Why?) I was so rattled. I figured the manager would acknowledge me the next day but crickets. I complained to Expedia, and originally was told the front desk agent said I was moved, they accommodated me, and the toilet worked. I was incensed. I was now going downstairs to do my "business". Expedia escalated my case and at least I got 1/2 off my stay (It will take a while to get the credit). Libby was nice!

Overall it was decent. I requested a king room and was asked at check-in if 2 queens would be okay, but I declined. Room was old/outdated. Fridge and microwave plugged into an outlet controlled by a switch near the door. Lots of peeling paper on walls, stains on carpet and curtains. Room had a different/musky smell. Overall, the room worked for its intended purpose.

Friendly but filthy

The bathroom was not clean, there were urine spots on the rim of the toliet. The sink wwas dirty. I cleaned it using my facial cleaning cloth. The refrigerator started this loud buzzing noise, so loud we had to unplug the refrigerator. I will never stay there again nor would i recommend.

I checked to the Days Inn near Bradley airport early evening to stay for an early morning flight. The attendant at the desk was very pleasant. I went into my room and immediately noticed it was dirty. Especially the bathroom. I went back to the desk and requested someone clean. Because they didn’t have anyone in housekeeping at the motel, they changed my room. The second room also had a dirty bath, and a blood stain on the comforter. I immediately checked out.

Not worth it!

The hotel was completely dirty. The toilet seat was falling off the toilet. There was a big puddle of water under the mini fridge. There was a extra blanket on top of the normal blanket to cover up the mini burn holes. The ice machine was not working. The hotel was generally dirty and smelly.
