The Days Inn staff (front desk and van driver) gave great, friendly, professional service. The free breakfast included waffles, bagels and toast, cereal, yogurt and fruit, coffee and tea. This was much appreciated, and the breakfast area was neat and clean. The hotel location, not far from Bradley Int'l Airport, and the free shuttle, are a definite benefit for travelers; this makes the room charge a good value. We took the free shuttle to the hotel late at night and took the free shuttle back to the airport in the morning so that we could rent a car. This was such a great perk. Although we arrived to the hotel at night, we were able to safely walk a few blocks to the Skyline Restaurant that the front desk recommended had . We enjoyed a couple tasty sandwiches from an extensive menu. There are, unfortunately, some negatives with the Days Inn. It should be cleaner, especially the bathroom. The toilet lid was stained, some of the linens were definitely not clean (probably washed, but not clean), the hair dryer and cord were gross, and the shower was not clean enough so we did not use it. The bed was comfortable and the bed linens were acceptable. Our room was right over top of where the van pulls in to drop and pick up passengers, so it is quite noisy there all night. The van itself was old - faded logo on the side, fire extinguisher not secured in its straps, and the interior needs replaced or at least cleaned. Overall, not more than a 2-star property.

When I got to the hotel, the clerk said they did not have a reservation for me. I showed him the confirmation on my phone, and he said there was nothing he could do. It was close to midnight and so he gave me a room for the price that Travelocity had given me. So basically, I paid for the room twice. Fortunately, when I called Travelocity, they issued a refund to me. I hope they can get a refund from Days Inn, as they were obviously paid twice - once by me through Travelocity, and again by me when they said they had no reservation, which clearly showed in an email on my phone.

When I tried to check in, they said they had no reservation for me in their computer. I had to pay again directly to the hotel to get a room. Fortunately, Travelocity is crediting my original payment. Thank you Travelocity.

There were some noisier hotel guests hanging out/talking loud in the hall and in rooms nearby. The chicken jerk sandwich at the near-by Jamaican restaurant was very good. Breakfast doesn’t start until 5:30, even though they know many folks are leaving for the airport starting at 4am. Bed was firm and comfortable.
