A good value holiday base for the Peak Park, with Buxton and Castleton an easy drive, and for the museums, galleries, theatres and shops of Manchester. There is a supermarket, 1 mile away, which can be reached by a walk along the canal towpath, or 5 minutes by car. Golf can be found nearby at New Mills, and Chapel-en-le-Frith, and Horse Riding at Offerton (7 miles - booking advised). There is a fish and chip takeaway, 300 yards away. Supermarket 1 mile, pub 400 yards and pub serving food 2 miles.
