This place makes it sound like it is on the beach. I was pretty let down to see it was at least 5 buildings back off the beach. My ocean view room had some ocean views but the the main thing I saw was the condo building in front of it with a bunch of junk on the balcony. The pool is tiny and on the 3rd floor so you can't see any ocean from here and it felt like you were in the middle of buildings all around. The breakfast was good and the room was spacious. The staff was very good and friendly. The happy hour beers were still double digits which was crazy to me. I liked how they provided chairs and towels you can take to the beach even though the chairs were quite worn. The metal water bottles and filling stations were very helpful. Overall I felt somewhat tricked because I thought we were up front along the beach as it says in the name. I should have stayed at the Hyatt Regency over this hotel. After a few days I moved to a different hotel on the beach.

Breakfast is not good and the elevators are so slow to get you! Other than that the hotel was good ans the are is perfect. 3 min walk to the beach and everything!

The Hyatt was a great stay. The amenities were good, breakfast every morning had rotating options, and you’re walking distance to everything in Waikiki. The room was clean and the service was awesome

Great hotel for couples and families, breakfast service was terrific, easy access to beach and shopping. Our room had the mountain views and it was excellent. Staff was very friendly and responsive, we had a car in valet parking and they were terrific also. I highly recommend staying here.

As an Expedia gold reward member, I got free upgrade to oceanview room which is awesome but that is not the reason why I gave the hotel a good review. The check-in process was a breeze, less than 10 minutes. I was aware I got charged the destination fee of like $43/night, however, I was not told I am being charged $50/ night for deposit until I check my credit cards summary on the app. I called the front desk and the lady said it will be refunded after check out. The room is clean, the property is clean, and breakfast is good. Each day is a different selection of bacon, sausage, sandwich, pancake, waffle and all the other typical breakfast items are the same —cereal, yogurt, fruit, milk, juice & coffee. I especially enjoyed the Hawaiian coffee served there. There are water fountains throughout the property to refill your water bottle which is nice as you will do lots of walking so staying hydrated is important. Checking out process was also a breeze, so quick. The hotel also offer a discounted flat rate for ride to the airport. Although not directly on the beach, it’s just 5 min walk to the beach. Close proximity to many good restaurants and convenient stores. I enjoyed my stay with Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach.

The breakfast menu was of poor quality, and the seating was crowded and limited. The carpet in our room was dirty, and we had a mountain view. There is not enough parking for guests, and the whole time I was there, the parking garage was always full. Having to spend an extra $50 + taxes + tips, if you can find parking, is a ripoff. I don't recommend this hotel.
