The Blue Heron Retreat sits on Lake Erie with direct beach and park access. It is located in Ohio’s north coast gateway to Cedar Point Amusement Park (8 miles west), the Lake Erie islands (8 miles west to the Jet Express dock), Cedar Point Sports Force (4 miles west), Kalahari Resort (6 miles south) and is conveniently located equal distance between Cleveland and Toledo, Ohio.

All bedrooms are located on the second floor. There is one primary bedroom (double sinks and glass enclosed shower). One bathroom with shower on the first floor and an additional full bathroom with a tub/shower upstairs.

The driveway can fit 8 vehicles and can easily accommodate a boat trailer and vehicle.

This was an excellent house for a family. The Kitchen was fully stocked, the eating and living space was very large and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The lake views and being right across the street from the park was a plus. The house was very clean. We had a wonderful stay.

Thus luxury house is beautifully decorated and updated. We enjoyed the open floor plan, comfortable furniture, and views of the lake. As a bonus my adult children (and husband) had fun with the video game. The house was very clean and the off-street parking is easy to access.

Family Getaway for Cedar Point Weekend

Fantastic and spacious home in a great location close to Cedar Point. Property was directly across from a park and beach access in a private association with amazing views. So many things to do without leaving the property. The owner was extremely accomodating and attentive to ensuring we had everything we needed. Would definitely consider returning as we are looking to make a Cedar Point family vacation an annual event for our children and grandchildren.

Excellent location close to theme parks but out of the traffic of Sandusky. Having the playground, park and lake across the street was a bonus for getting the kids out of the house and off screens!

Family Vacation

The property was great for our family of 10. The kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of very good cook wear, dishes and appliances. The host Lynn responded very quickly to our needs and questions. She had great suggestions for food and activities. The playground and swim area for kids was nice also. Not too far from Cedar Point and CP Shores. We will be back. Everyone enjoyed their stay. There is too much good to list it all.

Loved the location next to the park with playground and beach access and close to Sawmill Creek and Cedar Point and highway access. House was perfect accommodations for what we needed, comfortable, plenty of sleeping space and bathrooms, huge well stocked kitchen, ample parking, open layout. Neighborhood had some under-maintained properties

Beautiful House and View

We really enjoyed our stay at this VRBO! It was an easy check in/out process. The host was very attentive and answered any questions promptly. The house had everything we needed plus more! We forgot our box fan that we like for the noise, they had one. Ended up needing a few bandaids and we found a first aid kit that was easily accessible. The park and beach access were fantastic! The kitchen and entertaining area were very spacious! Overall it was a great stay in a beautiful house.

Fantastic 5 days

The house was available early, everything pictured was as shown. Perfectly cleaned. We had a toilet issue while we were there and the owner came and took care of it same day. Plenty of room for the 10 of us. Tons of great games and items for the 5 and 3 year old to use. House temperature was great even with the hot temps outside. Owners even left a local guide of resturants and things to do. The whole experience was fantastic.

This neighborhood is amazing and the property itself is gorgeous. The home is modern, comfortable, and spotless. It was a great place to socialize with our loved ones. Lots of fun and entertainment to be had. Beds were comfy, and kitchen was stocked for serving a full house. The property is unique with a gorgeous view and safe enough for our kids to play outside living their best lives at the playground. Our guests haven’t stopped talking about how wonderful the experience was. The owner was also attentive, kind, and professional. Would love to come back soon.
