Absolutely bait and switch. Not a single picture on this website or the hotel direct show what some rokms actually look like. Our room had red extremely old stained carpet. Musty. The window ac unit was not installed safely and could be pushed out. They used paper towel to plus holes in the corner (picture). The bathroom door was broken. The front door dragged on the carpet. The bed was so thin and had a foam pad on top. Fridge had some weird food or spill in it. I could go on and on. Door had just under an inch gap I could put my fingers thru so you know it was so loud all night.
First, they don't know their own address. There are two motels,Uplift and Lift Landing. The address given was always for Uplift. Wrong place. The floor was dirty and uneven, The bathroom door didn't close, looked like someone had punched it from the inside. The toilet had been shifted and the seal around the base broken so the bathroom smelled like pee. Won't be back.
The staff was excellent, hopeful and responsive. However, there was a pretty big gap between the bottom of the door and the floor, itâs obvious that a lot of effort is going into this property, and the manager was accommodating, responsive, and kind I think with a little more work that property could be really excellent, and it looks like thatâs where theyâre headed.
The location is perfect and the ability to roll your mountain bike into the room is a plus for MTBers. There are restaurants and quick grab stores within walking distance. The window AC units keep the rooms cool and each room has what you need.
Great little motel that worked out perfectly for mountain biking visit. Friendly staff. Keyless entry pad. Close to interstate and everything Idaho springs offers.
