Sonesta Irvine is a hidden gem in OC. The hotel is very clean and well-kept, the staff are courteous and nice. My room was upgraded (free of charge) and I ended up with a large room with a sitting area. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, I had a good night's rest for sure. There's a restaurant on-site which serves good food. My only complaint is that the food was very expensive ($29.00 for an omelette breakfast!). But this is an easy fix, just eat out. I really liked the place and would definitely come back.

We chose it because of the proximity to the airport and the airport shuttle. I question the cleaning as we found a pair of prescription glasses under the bed. They were in a white case - hard to miss.
