I didn’t see that there wasn’t A/C at the hotel. And they should’ve said online and at the front desk there would be road construction right next door. They started at 6am. Our room was vibrating and was awful. I understand construction is necessary. But our room shouldn’t have been rented out as it was right outside our window. I would never have stayed there had I known that. The breakfast in the morning was cold. Eggs, French toast were all cold. Eggs were hard and cold. Couldn’t eat it. So disappointed. Wyndham has been generally good in the past. This was the worst experience we’ve had. Sorry we stayed there.

This place is perfect for downtown Kamloops. Older but was very clean. Staff were amazing especially the lady at the desk and the staff at the restaurant. Easy wak to the Sandman Centre. The downtown area around the hotel is filled with little shops and I really liked the feel. Would stay again for sure.

Because the parking lot beside the hotel was full, I had to park in an alternative lot. The directions the desk clerk gave me were confusing. First she tried to direct me down a street that was blocked off due to construction, then she tried to direct me the wrong way down a one way street. On my third time going to the desk for directions, she started to talk down to me. When I finally found the parking lot, she told me I had parked in the wrong spot and i had to go out for the fifth time and move my car. Since I paid a total of almost $250 for one night, I would have expected a lot more courtesy, and less attitude.

The hotel is old, considering it was built in 1920s if I am not mistaken. But the staff and food make up for it. It's not also one of the ideal place to stay in Kamloops, lots of homeless people stay in the area which makes you feel unsafe and your car unsafe. But the service and the breakfast is superb. If you are a breakfast kind of person, this hotel is one of the best place to book. I will book again in the future.

The Parking is a huge issue. They have two rows of parking for about 20 cars. If you cant find a spot there you have to go a block and a half away to park. If no parking there you have to find your own parking. Yet they charge you $8 a night regardless. They have pay parking next door that costs an arm and a leg but more convenient than walking a block and a half with your stuff. Elevator takes forever, only fits 3 or 4 people. Pub on site is not great. Feels dirty and food options limited. Rooms are extremely small. Bathroom slightly bigger than a closet. Shower is like a phone booth, no room to turn, no shelves for shampoo, soap etc. Just all around an old beat down hotel. Would not recommend.

The bathroom was very small. WIFI was not reliable. Parking was 2-3 blocks away. Housekeeping was unavailable for replacement of towels. The downtown area did not feel safe with many people who looked like addicts on the streets around the hotel. There seemed to be a heavy police presence though.

The room was quite small. The bathroom only had a shower (no tub). There was no counterspace in the bathroom. Also, there was construction right next to the building. Otherwise, the hotel had a nice charm. Very clean. Had to pay for parking, but got two free drinks at the hotel restaurant. Overall, a good experience.

When arrived there was pee all over the wall by the toilet, we had to have the front desk send someone up to reclean our room. The room looked nothing like the photos in booking, the room was extremely dark (only lamps, no ceiling lights) and was not the suite we were told we were getting either (we requested the one with the balcony for the layout of the room, and did not get it). The bathroom has literally no counter at all, made it extremely hard to get ready. Your knees hit the bathroom when sitting on the toilet. Outside is an extreme level of homeless people and addicts. We were approached by 5 different addicts within the first few hours right outside the hotel, one of which had just had a pool cue smashed into his face and blood everywhere. I would never recommend this location or hotel to anyone. Completely understand it is a heritage building, but they have no unkept on it at all. The lobby was the other thing that felt comfortable and clean. Only good thing I would say is the bed was comfortable and seemed clean.

The hotel is right down town and on arrival the were many street people and junkies hanging around. I was very concerned about the safety of my car which was parked in the hotel lot next to the hotel. I had no issues the next morning. All the linings in the hotel were great

I booked and prepaid for this hotel onLine as we were driving into Kamloops one evening. I was intrigued by this room because it had a king bed and two singles and we were travelling with children so I thought this would be perfect when we got into the parking lot, there was a lot of Questionable things happening in the parking lot and the street in front. There is a liquor store and pizza joint right outside with many people just hanging around . If you know anything about Kamloops, you will understand. Our first instinct was to just forfeit the money that I had already paid for the hotel and go find a different hotel. But I thought I should go check it out so I went into the check-in desk and spoke with the lady who was kind and Helpful. I did ask her if my car was safe in their parking lot, which you have to pay for, and she said no do not leave any belongings in your vehicle as we have many thefts. I have three weeks of belongings in my vehicle and will not be bringing everything to my room. The hotel seemed all right and she wasn’t able to give me a refund so we decided to stay. The room was very dated but comfortable. This hotel could definitely use some updating. Fortunately, our car was not broken into and we were able to check out without incident.
