Completely Renovated, 5 min walk to beach

1021 Scaup Ct in the Sparrow Pond neighborhood has been newly renovated with updates throughout including newly added fourth bedroom and half bath. Great location, pool and beach access nearby!

Charming cottage is situated in one of the best locations on the Island and is a favorite spot to many vacationers. Located in the popular Sparrow Pond community and close to all of Kiawah's amenities as well as Freshfields Village, this gorgeous cottage offers upscale furnishings, renovated kitchen and baths, Wi-Fi internet, and a spacious screened in porch. There are four bedrooms with plenty of room. Both bathrooms have had a full renovation and have a spa like feel. The kitchen is fully equipped with top of the line appliances and all you need to prepare meals . Full sized washer and dryer.

If you absolutely must work from the home, the twin bedroom does have a comfortable office chair, desk, and a small printer available. This cottage does allow one dog up to 50 lbs (or two smaller dogs) pet fee is included.

Take a short five minute walk or quick bike ride and you'll be at the ocean's edge in no time.(0.3mi) There are 10 miles of glorious beach to enjoy and you can ride your bike right on the hard packed sand. Enjoy neighborhood community pool at the end of your day on the beach or at one of the many golf courses.

When you stay with ESPM for 3-21 nights you will receive a valuable credit of up to $210 (amount dependent on length of stay) to use toward beach gear, bikes, etc. Credit may not be available for last minute bookings, 48 hours notice is required.

As our guest, you will have access to 5 Championship Golf Courses – including The Ocean Course – the location of the 2021 PGA Championship; The Kiawah Island Resort Tennis Center - #1 ranked by Tennis Resorts Online; Free Wireless Internet Access; Our Local Property Management team is on hand in case of emergencies and their friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff can assist you with any needs throughout your stay. Lovely Kiawah 4 bedroom with great close beach location, great layout, delightful two porches, do recommended new mattresses for the twin beds, very soft. TVS in every room practically, and the one outside on the covered porch came in wonderfully handy with a small child who could watch Disney. Nice overall

After vacationing 30 years at Kiawah we found this property to be nice. We had 8 people so seating was tight, but ok. The property was clean and when I requested a broom to keep up with light cleaning it was dropped off for me to use. Will be back! Thanks

Great location, great layout, could be a bit cleaner

We overall had a pleasant week in this unit. Below are some comments which I hope you might find helpful. First, some pros: 1. The unit is unique in that it has four bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms. This was particularly nice for our family of now 4 adult couples. 2. The unit was well-equipped with kitchen amenities and adequately equipped with bedding items. 3. We were able to gain access into the unit well before the check-in time of 4:00 pm, which is a great plus for vacationers with a carload of cold groceries! Now for the cons: 1. The listed address of ”1021 Sparrow Pond” is inaccurate and misleading. It is not an address acknowledge by any GPS system. 2. Reviews of this unit on the internet claimed that it was “dirty”. We found the level of cleanliness to be fair, but I am attaching pictures of items as an example of people’s postings on the internet. The first is a literal pile of sand beneath a rug that has to be pulled back to enter the master bedroom. The second is a picture of the mold and mildew in the shower curtain in the master bath. Not exactly but it worked.

I called the property manager twice with no reply. Someone did come to the house but never came back. There was only 1 key in the lock box and there was supposed to be 2. They never resolved it and did not contact me again. The space was adequate but not as large as I expected. The kitchen was small - not big enough for multiple people to be cooking together. The pots and utensils need to be replaced. They are well used and although a rental still need to be usable. We made the best of it. The towels provided were literally one per person (wash cloth, hand towel and bath) with a few bath under the sink. Thank goodness for the washer. Listing said coffee pot not keurig but it has BOTH. And although listing says beach towels provided there are NO beach towels. What I did like is that the bedrooms are in the 4 corners of the house but with doors open everyone was still together. The house was cleanish. Everyone has a different standard. The owner should consider more than just a broom - maybe a swifter wet or hand vac for light cleanup for the renters. Walk to the beach less than 5 minutes. Very private. We did sit by the pool once to enjoy the sun without the wind. The cougar golf course is literally a 4 minute walk away. All the courses were great. Strong suggestion read the paperwork you get and order food for delivery. The food store is a disaster the day of checkin. We had a total of 5 people. If I had 6 or more I would pick another house. The main bedroom had a private bath. The other 3 rooms share a small bathroom with shower. There is a powder room that was helpful but more than 6 would be tough sharing the small shower.

Wonderful family vacation

Our second trip to Kiawah Island and we love the Sparrow Pond neighborhood. This cottage has a quiet cul de sac location, with short walk to pool & beach. 4 BR floor plan and amenities met our needs nicely. Some furniture showing wear/stains. Convenient parking, gear storage & outdoor shower underneath cottage was a plus. Included credit for beach gear rental worked out great too. ESPM property manager provided excellent communication leading up to and during our stay.

The Perfect Stay!

We absolutely loved this house for our family. The location was excellent and we arrived to a very clean home! We loved that the home is light and bright with a great sofa & chairs in the living area and a nice larger TV. It’s a great quiet street!

Beautiful Cottage

This was our third time staying at Sparrow Pond Cottages and was by far our favorite property. It has been nicely renovated and was spacious for our family of six. The only downside was the community pool was closed the entirety of our stay.

Wonderful Kiawah Island Property

This past weekend was the 38th staging of the Marathon Race at Kiawah Island, and my first half marathon at Kiawah. I wanted it to be a great experience, and the property we stayed at was ideal! Hillary Harling was my contact about the property thru ESPM Property Management and my dealings with her could not have been better; even last minute parking passes were provided within minutes of requesting them!!!! As for the property itself, it is a charming 3 bdrm villa with many updated features. There were 6 adults and we felt comfortable; not like we were on top of each other. I plan to participate in the marathon again next year and will certainly consider this property unless we need an even bigger space. However, even with that as a potential issue, I will contact Hillary Harling for any of our rental needs at Kiawah Island............definitely a 5 star experience. Bill Lampley
