We invite you to Windansea 1, our convenient ground level unit with exclusive backyard located in the well-known Windansea area of La Jolla! Live the surfer beach lifestyle in this incredible property located just blocks to restaurants, shops, entertainment, & surf & swim-friendly Windansea beach. This offering includes the ground level 2br+1.5ba unit, sleeps 6, & professionally designed with the finest attention to detail.

DESIGNER INTERIOR
This meticulous & well-appointed interior was professionally designed with high attention to detail. As you enter the main entry you will be greeted by a spacious & open floorplan, with windows galore & west facing to allow for lots of light. The living room features new furniture including a plush sofa, accent chairs, area rug, cozy gas fireplace, & beautiful wood flooring (note - bedrooms have comfy carpet flooring) to round out the space.

Off the main living area is a gourmet kitchen with adjacent dining room. Our kitchen features a center island with pendant lighting & open to the living/dining areas, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, & bar seating. Adjacent to the kitchen is a dining table with seating for 4. The hallway leads to both bedrooms & bathrooms, see further details below…

Off the kitchen is a separate door that leads to your expansive backyard, which is *exclusive only to this ground level unit (Note - guests for the second level unit will access backyard stairway). The yard features a large grassy lawn, outdoor seating ideal for soaking in the San Diego sun, as well as a BBQ. In addition to your rear yard is a grassy front yard, also exclusive to this unit. Both areas have hose for rinsing off after a fun day at the beach.

Vacation in one of La Jolla's most coveted neighborhoods, Windansea! We are situated just 3 blocks to this famous surf and swim friendly beach, 2 blocks to a public park that's great for children, & just a couple blocks to several shops & restaurants.

Explore the rest of what La Jolla has to offer. Just up the road is Downtown La Jolla & La Jolla Cove where you can watch the sea lions & shop at upscale stores & fine dine at 5 star restaurants. Surf some of the historic and famous waves at nearby Black's & La Jolla Shores beaches. The nightlife always has something going on no matter what day of the week; catch a show at The Comedy Store or enjoy a special upscale meal at The Marine Room or George's at the Cove. All of our guests receive a comprehensive list of local recommended restaurants, activities, and attractions, most of which can also be found on our website.

POLICIES & GOOD NEIGHBOR GUIDELINES

• Guest Requirements | Per certain regulations & HOA requirements, guests must be at least 30 years of age to book with us. If your group is all adults, then all guests must meet our minimum age of 30 (exceptions made for multigenerational families).
• Occupancy | Maximum occupancy refers to the number of people allowed in the home at any given time (i.e. includes both overnight guests & non-overnight visitors), some of which may be mandated by certain regulations. Exceptions towards the maximum number of people allowed may be made for children under the age of 2. Guest(s) agrees that more than the number of people stated on the reservation shall not occupy the premises. The number of guests includes visitors, even if they are not staying overnight.
• Noise | Our homes are intended for relaxing getaways, not rowdy beach parties. Music and other noise is to be kept at an appropriate level and in a manner that is mindful to neighbors. Noise that can be heard 50 feet away from the home is prohibited. Parties are not allowed. If there is excessive noise or music, any illegal activity, or evidence of violation of these policies, you may be asked to vacate the premise without any refund and additional charges may be assessed.
• Combination Listings | Due to occupancy restrictions, larger groups looking to book multiple units must reserve an approved combination listing. No more than 1 combination listing can be reserved per stay.

Can walk to a great beach

Nice house, about a 12 min walk to an awesome beacjh, windnsea beach. We had two small children (ages 1 & 3) and everyone had a good time. Drive to San Diego zoo only about 25 min.

Perfect Beach Escape

My sister and I were visiting my son who attends university in San Diego. It was a relaxing long weekend with the comforts of "home". My son came and went, had a few friends join us for meals and we all enjoyed walks to the beach. It was nice having more room to spread out instead of being in a hotel. The neighborhood is so quaint and quiet. It made for a great long weekend!

High quality- close to beach

Great house. Upgrades throughout. Nicely decorated, bbq worked great, and relaxing back yard. Short walk to a nearly private beach. And then a short walk longer to where the surfers and small groups hang out. Excellent place to stay. We enjoyed a short walk to the Shack restaurant and bar. Good food! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Windansea in LaJolla

Location is great. Having a driveway to put the car and a backyard to sit out and read is a definite plus. We rented the ground floor of this house for a month. It is roomy, especially for 2, and comfortable. Neighborhood is a little noisy but friendly. Walking distance to restaurants and 3 blocks to the ocean. Nice get away.

Relaxing stay

Nice curb appeal in a very quiet neighborhood. Spacious apartment with nice back patio. Weber gas grill was easy to use and worked great. Apartment had every possible amenity and was tastefully decorated. We came down from Northern California to watch the youngest daughter receive her Masters Degree from UC San Diego. Very relaxing stay. Highly recommended.

Very nice. We enjoyed our visit. WComfortable. Accommodating. Few suggestions. Shower non slip mat, as the tile gets very slippery and there is nothing to grab onto. Could not enjoy back yard seating as it was wet, a deck box to store the cushions would be nice. Yes, the driveway can hold 4 cars, which means only the last one in is able to move without asking other cars to be moved.Overall I would recommend to others.

Only negative was the king bed. Very uncomfortable. Felt like sleeping on a rock. Needs a foam mattress topper or mattress needs to be replaced. Otherwise well maintained, beautiful home in a great location!

Great family rental!

We brought our two young daughters with us to La Jolla and found this VRBO perfectly suited for our family! The check in and check out process were seamless and the backyard area was beautiful. Perfect for hanging out after the kids went to bed. What we loved most about this house though was the location! It was literally blocks from the most gorgeous beach and a short walk away from restaurants, shops, a cute grocery store, a park for our toddler,etc. One morning we even took the kids in a jogging stroller down to see the seals at children's pool. We had a tahoe and were able to park it in the driveway each day without any issues. There is an upstairs unit, but we never heard them! Would highly recommend this place!

Lovely La Jolla

Windandsea 1 was perfect for our mother/daughter weekend. Everything we needed and wonderful extras were provided. The backyard was so beautiful for an evening glass of wine and conversation. We had upstairs neighbors and had we not seen them occasionally coming or going, we would never have know the upstairs was occupied. There was a very minor issue that did not impact our experience in the least, but I notified the mgmt company on the weekend (after hours) and received a very prompt response in which they offered to attend to it immediately or at our convenience. Very accommodating. Beautiful property, nice, quiet neighborhood, wonderful restaurants, shops...too much fun to mention. My only complaint is a weekend was not long enough!

Old pillows, flat!dust and spider webs and spiders everywhere! Upon arrival the couch was disassembled, furniture out of place. Odor of chemicals so strong to cover the musty, moldy smell.

Not a fan with this rental

The rental was well cleaned and had what we needed. HOWEVER, I wouldn't stay here again because of the following: The carpet is really old and feels yucky under foot. The shower curtain tension rod fell several times which was annoying. The linens and blankets are cheap and the pillows are really old. It's also a dark apartment. The lighting was dim. The windows are really dirty so that didn't help. A fresh coat of white paint, new carpet, and a window clean would go a long way. The most notable flaw was the smell. The entire space smells VERY musty!!! Like it's coming up from a dank basement. This was apparent the entire stay and made it very unpleasant. This apartment is obviously an investment for someone who really doesn't care. I have stayed in Surfstyle rentals before and this was not what we have experienced in the past.
