Not happy with the $40 a night to park my car. It’s price gouging, which is why I will not return to the hotel. Also, their restaurant was closed for a couple of weeks and I was not informed. We had to drive at least a half hour every night to find a good restaurant..

This is basically a country club motel charging 5 star resort prices. Everything is a ridiculous upcharge down to the $10 miniature package of cookies and tinned water that appeared to be a gift in the room to the parking that was supposed to be included. The room was updated in the 1990s and the pool had a bar that was closed. It’s also difficult to navigate the hotel that had endless events blocking all the pathways. One of the event staff rudely escorted us out of an event we didn’t know we were walking into in our robes looking for the pool. The hotel staff were nice but don’t try to call the motel ahead of time because no one will answer.

Solid stay

Cute hotel grounds. Nice adult pool (didn’t see the other one). The rooms seemed outdated but still in good shape. The negative was our bedroom had some questionable splatter on the ceiling above one of the beds, and the nightstand surface and lamp base surface were incredibly dusty. Kinda grossed me out thinking where else did they skimp cleaning. Tried both on site restaurants and pool service. The food was excellent at all three places. We noted on the reservation that we were celebrating our birthdays but nothing happened, it would have been nice to receive a nice card or some small acknowledgment. Overall I’d return, but there are far better hotels in the San Diego area I’d prefer.
