Hotel Saranac is an amazing place. I do recommend anyone up here near Lake Placid, New York to go a few miles up the road to Saranac Lake hotel. Saranac is a fabulous place to stay. You won’t regret it. The place is outstanding service is outstanding. Thanks so much Travelocity.

Well for starters I have lodged with this hotel a couple times and never had the issues I had this time around which is highly disappointing my total package was supposed to be somewhere around 8 hundred and some dollars and I basically was charged over a thousand dollars to my account when checking out I was told there’s a outstanding balance off 774$ which would mean I’m basically to pay almost 2 thousand dollars for a 3 night stay which was only supposed to total out with taxes and everything to 8 something. So my bank institution froze my account for fraudulent charges here I am in a different state trying to understand why I been and am being so over charged. I contact my bank they tell me the hotel itself has to deal with they’re credit merchant in order to release my funds they have held. So here I am out of my pocket not to mention Travelocity played a major key role in all this mix up and confusion as well as the staff at the hotel. However the Managment contacted me trying to explain the situation which is a complete mess right now. All I keep thinking is how I’m basically double paying for 3 nights at this hotel which is ridiculous to be honest. There’s no way I’m going to over pay for a package that I was guaranteed a certain price on. I have booked through Travelocity plenty and damn near every trip I been on and I can assure you I will NEVER again book through them Everybody is all over the place to much confusion and no resolution. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Reservations made through third-party websites don’t always sync with our system right away, which may have resulted in the unexpected charge. We apologize for any inconvenience in this regard as we have limited control over third-party booking. We hope for the chance to improve your perceptions the next time you're in town.

Stayed once before August 2019. Vast improvement in cleanliness and attention to detail this time. Only minor irritation for males: toilet set would not stay up, had to hold it. A bit surprised the first time then used to it. Should be an easy fix.

The historical feel was undeniable. A bathtub, a hot tub or a heated pool would have been great. the restaurant was wonderful, and the employees friendly and helpful.
