Breakfast was not on time. The grab and go breakfast was not apparently available. Rooms are very dimly lit and have no place to sit. Front desk staff not always helpful or responsive. Linens were very nice and overall the hotel was clean.

This was our third time staying here and the place is becoming more and more rundown. The location is great and design is nice, but maybe the new management isn't keeping up? Not sure but overall, it was messy. And the sliding door to the lobby wasn't working, nor was our fridge, so that was a bit inconvenient.

Good location Wall heating unit a bit noisy at night since the bed is right next to it. The bar at night should have finger foods at least to be offered on a small limited menu. Things that are already ready just need to stick in micro wave. Main issue was the pool was not open during our stay.

Room was ok. Location was great to town and dog sled. TV was placed in awkward location with no swivel to view the bed for the Deluxe bedroom. Pool was also not available to use. I also wish the breakfast had more items to select from.

Absolutely terrible customer service at this hotel, from check in, through dealing with no wifi or hot water for my one night stay. I checked in at 5pm, by 6pm the internet and TV had stopped working, when I asked about the problem they said they had just changed the internet set up and there were new passwords and printed materials for the information. This was an hour after I checked in, they weren't apologetic and were actually rude. The customer service got worse when I told them I'd run the shower for 10 minutes and there wasn't any hot water, it was barely warm. I was told they'd had no other complaints and the hot water was fine. Terrible experience all around, luckily I was leaving very early the next morning to keep traveling so didn't have to deal with the hotel again. I would not recommend this hotel, this hotel brand or ever stay at any hotel associated with them again.

The property changed ownership just days before our stay so that is to be considered. Location was great, clean, plenty of common room seating not feeling crowded with others. Beautiful view of the lake, walkable to everything steps outside the door. A hefty deposit is taken when you check in. Steep in my opinion at 150.00. I asked for a receipt when checked out. The young man at the desk told me I would receive it through my travel website. Understandable but I was more concerned with having some proof of deposit if it’s not refunded. That was unsettling to me. Otherwise…. Enjoyable stay

There was a very loud new years eve party with DJ directly below us which we were not informed about in advance, loud heavy bass music until 1am. The staff were all lovely but the hotel seemed understaffed and the room was only cleaned once when we had to request it. Basic amenities such as a boot tray and a wine opener are not in the rooms; there was no knife or bagel cutter to cut bagels at breakfast requiring use of disposable plastic. Just minor things that would make the hotel seem more complete. The decor was very nice and the staff as I mentioned were all very professional.

Paid over $300 for a room and there was absolutely 0 parking spaces available in the parking lot. I was forced to park as close as possible on the street and walk to the hotel, and I got a ticket! I've never once been to a hotel that did not have adequate parking for it's guests.

I was very disappointed in the hotel. The pictures make it look so new and update, but it is an old building with a very surface level makeover. The continental breakfast was also extremely lacking and was served with paper plates and plastic single use cups. Thie is bad for the environment and tacky. As a gluten free person, my only option was the fruit. There were no hot options which are normally available in a breakfast offering. We ended up only staying one of our two nights that we reserved.

I had three interactions at the front desk, and each person was quite cold and rude to myself and other guests I witnessed. The listing says parking is included, but it is not. The hotel told me to go down the road to find municipal parking, but they couldn’t provide an address. It ended up being a 10 minute walk. Troublesome situation with three young kids and all of our ski gear at night while it’s heavily snowing. They had the lobby drive up double parked for their bar party, so it was not accessible. There is only one luggage cart for the hotel, which is quite difficult in a winter sports town. And, the rooms feel like a “quick fix” remodel. The bunk bed was made with raw, unsanded wood with the contractor notes written on it and nails sticking out. The heater banged and rattled. And all of the doors won’t stay open. Door stops were needed but not provided. The floors are creaky. We were woken each morning by someone walking in the room above us. Also, to get to our room, we had to go through many doors by guessing and finding cleaning staff as there is no signage. The hotel changed names from the time we booked to the time we stayed, so I’m not sure if most of this is due to a change in management. We stayed at another hotel in the village right after this and had a completely different experience, for less. I would highly recommend a different option for your Lake Placid stay.
