Check in was very poor and slow. queued for 20 minutes with only one other person in front of us. When it came to checking in, I was told a £1 holding charge would be placed on my card, so I tapped my card on the machine and it actually placed over £60 on hold on my card. The staff member had charged me twice for the room despite it being paid for in advance. The charge has now sat pending on my account for the last 3 weeks. I have had to contact my bank to try and resolve. The check in process was slow and when we did head up to the room, we got there to find the key wasn’t working, so had to go back down and queue again to get the key card redone. We ended up being late to the event we were going to because of how slow the process was!
The rooms are dated but fine for a cheap one night stay. Unfortunately the check in process and having to mess around getting charged removed from my account make the whole experience inconvenient.
