Hotel was reasonably nice, conveniently situated for our stay, but the room was certainly not in keeping with what i would expect of 5 star hotel.. Long hairs all over the bathroom, stained carpets, TV impossible to operate, grimey mugs and glasses to name a few things.

There are better hotels!
We arrived at 4.30pm and I wanted to have a nice hot bath before going out for the evening. There was no hot water. So I had to go out without. i spoke to the hotel manage who informed me that it wasn't the fault of the hotel but there was a boiler issue. I pointed out it wasn't my fault either and it is certainly a necessity for a hotel to provide basic services. This did not go down well. I am still awaiting compensation from the hotel. Also the room, although nicely decorated, could have been even nicer - the net curtain was filthy and that is an easy fix and also it could have done with a nice sofa. It was however very noisy - and at 4 am we woke to the sound of workman outside emptying bottles. So no sleep and no hot water although I have to say hot water was fine in the morning but that did not help me for the evening. I would not stay there again.

Only plus point is location!
Not a 5 start hotel. In need of complete refurbishment. The bathroom door could not be fully opened as the bed get in the way. Bath has broken handle! Everything needs redoing. Only plus point is location!

Enjoyable
The hotel is fantastic location wise, but after 6 years of visiting, I personally feel it's looking rather tired and in need of a freshen up. This is also the second year in a row that the same elevator was out of order. The staff are very friendly and always willing to assist if required.
