"Hotel was very clean, updated, and comfortable. We were there for one night before our cruise and were pleasantly surprised they had a free shuttle to the port. Just make sure you get in line early if you use this service. It fills up quick. We checked out the pool which was small but much nicer in person than in photos. It was a nice spot to hang out in even to just chill and have a drink from the pool bar. Room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Downtown area was easily walkable but the shuttle service also was offered. I would recommend this hotel and will likely stay here again before the next cruise."

"We love this property. The pool was conveniently located. I love that they had games like connect four and chess by the pool. They had a little bar that was open in the morning and evenings with food and drink. Lots of cozy places to sit around the pool. Some of the furniture was a little rundown, but they kept it really clean. The bed was OK. It could’ve been a little better but all in all we really enjoyed this property and will be back."

"Although we opted to stay 2 days here for all the fun and adventure. We could have stayed one and fit it all in . Such a stunning place to stay . Historical sites but it does not hearing or A/c and the beds are not for the faint of heart. The mattresses might have been as old as the ship jk but seriously if the mattresss where more comfortable I could have been able to rest and do more . That’s ok I’m 54 and it comes with the territory. I am glad we experienced it but I probably couldn’t stay another night there because of the low comfort level of the bed. But it’s definitely I must do once in your life."

"POV ~ I am a single, senior lady (born & bred in CA) currently traveling with a pet (for work + delay in contractor for new residence) and was here for approx. 15 days total. I extended my stay through the front desk (Marriott directly) for the additional days. This location is far enough from the airport/city crowd, but still within the "safe zone" of Long Beach/Lakewood. I walked my dog at 11:30PM with absolutely no issue. The staff is very accommodating - with most of the landscaping staff calling my pet by name after day 4. Daily breakfast is great, but get in there early or you will be S.O.L. The Convention Center next door was a little loud once (on a Saturday), but overall it's a peaceful location. There are a couple of grocery stores, plenty of fast food and an "adult recreational" store within 5 to 8 minutes from the hotel. Hey we are all adults ... whatever floats your boat .. right?!? Nice otel ... My only 2 Gripes: How much it costs to wash/dry a load of clothing ($8 total) .. and I am a Marriot Member. The normal internet speed is crap - but it is $4.95 PER DAY to upgrade it, even for Marriot Members ... really?"
