Super clean and trendy hotel - I’ve stayed in the LA and NYC locations now. If you like super modern and high end hotels this may not be the one for you. But if you’re looking for vibes and a diverse atmosphere I would choose here!

Significant hidden "facilities" charge added to the bill at checkout. Not clear on booking. Please display the full price for any and all bookings. I don't want to hear "it was in the T&Cs" - that's just underhanded. I am unlikely to book a hotel with Expedia again

The aesthetic of the room and hotel overall is beautiful. The valet, Gale, was outstanding! He was very welcoming and informative. There was no prior mention of valet ($59) being the only parking option The rest of the staff were mediocre. We checked in at 3pm, were informed that the restaurant wouldn’t open until 6pm and would close at 10pm. We left an event early with that in mind as we wanted to fully experience the hotel. However we got back to the hotel at 9:25pm and the restaurant was already close on a Friday night!? We had to dine elsewhere and come back to the hotel. When we got to our room there was a mini fridge, but no water/coffee/ etc. I called down to the front desk and was informed that they don’t offer bottled water of any kind and would not be able to provide water despite having disposable cups in the room? I ended up having to DoorDash water for the evening. The windows are single pane, so the room was incredibly loud, there were plastic shower curtain rings and again no courtesy amenities like a shower cap or face wash etc. Overall, it was an underwhelming experience for an outrageous price for what you get….or rather, don’t get.

Such a gem in the middle of DTLA!! Whole Foods is just across the street and there are about a dozen places to eat within a couple blocks, including Paris Baguette, a most delicious French bakery. The rooms are gorgeous, the lounge is comfy, they store baggage for free so guests can chill at the pool after checkout. And most of all: THE POOL. It’s peaceful with a view of the city, plants all over make it feels like you’re on a rooftop in Oaxaca, and in April the jasmine is blooming giving the entire rooftop the absolute most heavenly scent! My only feedback is that I wasn’t allowed to bring my croissant from the bakery next door to the pool to eat. I understand they don’t want people not staying at the hotel to bring food into the restaurant, but hotel guests shouldn’t be required to eat there every single time we need a meal at the pool. It made me not want to eat at the restaurant at all to be honest.
