I loved my stay at Citizen M. Parking was super easy at the lot right next door. Loved the convenience to the Grand Central market, the great art galleries and bars in the area. Felt safe to walk at night. Delish food options super close and easy location to all access all the highways if driving. Would absolutely stay here again. Rooms were clean, on the small side but absolutely comfortable for one or two people and well layed out. i stayed on one of the upper floors and it was super quiet. Loved the black out curtains as it gets so sunny early in LA.

I absolutely love CitizenM hotels, and this Los Angeles location has become my favorite! It’s much larger than the New York one and offers more amenities while still keeping the modern, stylish vibe CitizenM is known for. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful—when I realized I forgot my charger cube for my speaker, they were kind enough to charge it for me at the front desk. That level of service really stood out. My room was spotless and super high-tech. I had the best sleep ever—the bed was so comfortable, and the blackout curtains were so good I didn’t want to get up! (Seriously, I need to know the brand of those curtains.) I also loved being able to control everything from the iPad—lighting (which changes colors!), TV, and room temperature. It was easy and fun to use. The hot breakfast was a great bonus, and the bar and lobby area were beautiful—perfect for relaxing or hanging out. If you’re looking for a clean, modern, and friendly place to stay in LA, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. I’ll definitely be back!

CitizenM DTLA was my 4th stay in the brand hotel, so I’m used to CitizenM’s user friendly amenities and conveniences. The top floor balcony adjoining the gym is a nice touch at this location. While I liked the location for its easy access to mass transit, attractions, and dining, the location is somewhat unappealing because of its proximity to skid row. While I knew that before booking, , I was not prepared for how rundown and filthy (human excrement on sidewalks, for example) some of the streets bordering the hotel are. Massive cleanup needed by the city. I hope LA doesn’t become another San Fran with untenable infrastructure and poop-filled streets. I felt unsafe a few times at nearby Pershing Station. I later found out that visitors to the city would be better served by staying outside of DTLA, such as in Santa Monica. One of my tour guides, who has lived in LA for years, absolutely does not recommend DTLA Even though the hotel is a 4-star, the surroundings and environment sully the hotel’s status.

I’m from Toronto, Canada, and I flew out to Los Angeles to see Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour since, unfortunately, she wasn’t performing in Canada. I had to quickly find a place to stay and came across citizenM Los Angeles, which had great reviews on Google, and thank God I booked with them! They absolutely lived up to my expectations and then some. The staff were incredible! They are super friendly, helpful, and professional. My room was clean, cozy, and perfect for a quick but memorable stay. Honestly, 5/5 feels too low. This was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I would choose citizenM ten times over if they operate in any city I’m visiting. Keep up the amazing work, team citizenM!
