Our stay was fantastic and everything was prepared perfectly. Inside and outside everything is explained very well about how to use it. Also the check in procedure was described very good and easy to do. The apartment is nicely arranged and in a very good condition. The location is also great. It’s very close to the beach and very well connected to major roads. We can highly recommend this place.

Frank’s place was absolutely perfect. Very clean and quiet. Great outdoor space to relax in. Short walk to the beach, bike path and restaurants. This will definitely be our go to place for future trips to LA.

The ideal place to stay on LA Westside

We love Playa del Rey, and this is the perfect spot from which to visit it and the rest of the coast from Santa Monica to Palos Verdes. Or just to hang out on the beach watching dolphins, pelicans and beach volleyball! Frank and Lorraine could not be more responsive hosts or agreeable neighbors (they live upstairs but do not overlook your space). The apartment is beautifully decorated inside and a huge plus is the beautiful garden surrounding the house, protected from the ocean breeze, which you will have essentially to yourselves.

Perfect beach vibes

This home is so special! The location is perfect, just steps from the beach (you will need a car to get around the city) & close to LAX (no airport noise that I noticed). My friend & I walked to the beach everyday (gorgeous sunsets!) & truly loved the plants & tranquil setting in the courtyard & greenhouse garden.It's a small space that doesn't feel small. The design is perfect and not an inch is wasted. The kitchen has everything you’d need plus there’s a great washer/dryer. It was comfortable for two people to share & had enough space for our things. I think it could also work for a small family.But really, it’s the vibes and energy that Frank has given the space & how he treats his guests that make it so warm, welcoming & comfortable. He was attentive & accommodating from the moment I made the reservation and throughout my stay until checkout. Highly recommend!

Wonderful location and apartment!

We spent a long weekend visiting our son in Playa del Rey. This was the perfect location— lovely apartment with nice sitting area outside, walking distance to the beach and several great restaurants. Frank was great to work with and communicated well and had all the special touches like snacks and coffee waiting for us. We will be back!

Tastefully done! Great outdoor space, perfect to keep our bikes and extra gear. We found great bike rides both directions on the beach just a block away.....nice ride to Santa Monica and Manhattan Beach, both about an hour ride or so, mostly on dedicated bike paths. Perfect sized space for two of us for four nights....bathroom a little small, but perfectly functional. Will certainly come back if we can!

Beautiful area

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was an easy walk to the beach. The location was near the air port so planes were going over all the time but we didn't notice it too much in the house. Unfortunately, it was a long drive for our son to pick us up to go places with home and his family and we didn't realize that when we booked the place. Would recommend this place.

An Oasis and Then Some

The property is truly an oasis. Beautiful outdoor space and lovely interior. Great dining options in close walking distance and beach a block away. Frank was very welcoming and checked in with me several times. Close to LMU where my daughter is attending college. I will definitely stay here again.

Truly an Oasis

Tiny but mighty! Truly wonderful beach location for our family of 4! I had a hard time deciding where to stay and started out booking two hotels in Venice beach and upon further research decided Venice just isn’t where I wanted to stay with my young kids so I did more research and found this perfect little gem in the cutest little beach town. The house was fantastic, the extra toiletries for travelers who may have forgotten things was such a nice touch. Everything was clean and having a washer and dryer made everything easier for us! Can’t wait to come back!

Lovely Oasis!

We really enjoyed our stay at Frank’s beautiful home. It’s close to the beach (including a great bike/walking path), and a great location for drives to other beachside communities. The garden is beautiful and would be a perfect spot for relaxing and outdoor dining if the weather permits. A few good restaurants are also within walking distance. Frank was easy to communicate with and overall we had a great stay. Thank you Frank!

Cannot wait to return

Comfortable, clean, quiet, excellent location and very close to the airport. One block from the beautiful beach and ocean. Plenty of stores and restaurants within walking distance too. I cannot say enough good things about our stay. The communication was prompt and helpful. After doing all the touristy site seeing, it was a pleasure to return to relax at this wonderful apartment. A great apartment in a great location with peaceful outdoor areas to relax. Fully equipped kitchen, but plenty of nearby restaurants if you don’t want to cook. One block from the beach for walking, running, surfing or just sitting. We will be back!

Amazing vacation

Our stay in Playa was amazing and we will certainly be back! My wife and I are Food Network junkies. We made the trip from New Orleans to the L.A. area for our anniversary to eat at several restaurants owned by some of the celebrity-chefs that we follow (Brook Williamson, Antonia Lofaso, Stephanie Izard and Shirley Chung). They were all amazing, but we HIGHLY recommend Girl & the Goat (Izard's place). Frank was an amazing host. Our flight landed at LAX at noon. The normal check-in time was set for 4pm, but we asked Frank if we could check-in when we arrived at noon. We had two options: (1) hope that nobody booked the house the day before us; or (2) pay 1/4 of the daily rate to guarantee our early check-in. We chose the latter which was very fair. We did not want to land and have no place to put our luggage for four hours. We also asked Frank to have some champagne in the room for us to enjoy when we checked in. He obliged and allowed us to purchase a bottle of great champagne from his personal stash! The dive bars in Playa are also amazing. We spent lots of time at The Shack and Mo's. These places had a great local vibe and the locals that we met were awesome. We made lifelong friends in Playa!
