Gave away my room after DOUBLE confirm

Pros: No quicksand, and the building didn't fall on me. Other than that...
Cons: I don't care because I'm never staying there again.
Location: The roads are really clear at 3am. This makes it easy to do U-turns as you get lost searching for your new hotel.
I had a flight that was scheduled to get into LAX around midnight. I had a fairly early meeting the next morning. I specifically called the hotel the day of my arrival (a few hours before my flight took off) to say, "Yes I am coming. I will be late. Can you please confirm that you will not give my room away." I was told by the staff on the phone that they definitely would not give my room away (why I should even worry about this when I had a reservation is cause for wonderment). Anyway. Flight came in. I got to hotel late (about 2:30am). Pretty tired. Aaaand... they gave my room away. Keep in mind this is not a little boutique hotel. This is a Residence Inn. They sent me to another hotel. Needless to say, I'm never even considering this hotel again. I've also been a big fan of Resident Inn's for a while now... but... nah... forget. There are too many other choices. Never again.

Parking

I don't feel it's right to charge guests $19 a day for parking. I understand charging for parking but ,not if you've already paid for your room.

Nice hotel

Staff was very friendly and helpful hotel room was very nice and clean beds were extremely comfortable I would recommend staying there to anybody. I will be staying there again

Brand new and very Modern

Location: Decent location except for traffic noise on east side of hotel if you like to leave your windows open at night. It was a 5 minute Uber ride to Old Pas
We are in our early sixties so it was an adjustment for us with all the modern upgrades. Green and clean and a bit spartan. There was very little counter space in the bathroom for your personal items. I guess you were suppose to use the dressing table outside the bathroom. The shower had no door and was like the locker rooms that us old folks grew up with. Low water pressure but since everything is on the same level with no water containment the floor can easily get wet and slippery. There was a remote type thermostat with symbols for everything so I finally looked it up online to figure it out. We could never get the room cool so we sweated all night. We let the staff know but I don't think they were interested. That might be a universal issue in all rooms. ???? They took our parking fee off the bill. The curtains were remote control so there was a learning curve there also. All in all it was good just an adjustment for older folks.
