Property grounds and rooms are beautiful, food is good, even at buffet is pretty good. Main pool bar staff Jovani, Sami, and Fabian are awesome and will take good care of you. Activities staff are great fun .. go Jesus! Gina the housekeeper in bldg 22 gives all those special touches that make your stay great. Options to go to sister resort & other restaurants adds some variety also. Kelly's bar is only open 4 nts/week; otherwise property is missing any kind of nite life after pool bar closes. Need more music at the main pool, esp after activities are over. Also, I was not made aware in advance that fiesta nite activities (dancing, music, etc) were cancelled due to "low" tourist season this week, even tho the resort was full. There was only a buffet, so that was disappointing. Lots of fun activities offered off property also however. Overall, loved my stay, would definitely go back, and would recommend property to others .. from single to families and younger to older.

Service and place was excellent. Food was delicious and staff were friendly. I just wish it had like a music/dance place/hangout for night time. Everyone goes to bed too early. Trip was overall amazing!!

only complaint was we missed a day at the resort because of an Alaska had a mechanical problem with our plane in Seattle. We really had a hard time communicating with Travelocity's customer service. We were put on hold for over 45 minutes. We Finally gave up. Then spent about an hour finding the correct phone number to the Resort. So we could cancel our shuttle and let know, we would be a day late. It would been nice, if we could of had a number to call, instead of wasting all that time.

Very quiet and peaceful. Very friendly staff. Only issue was limitations with the all inclusive. Such as having to sign a receipt for each and every meal and bar tab even though it was part of the package. Fridge not stocked with water, soda or beer.

Pros: Views!
Cons: Having wine available at all the bars. Californians drink wine!
Location: Not much to do nearby but getting to the various other areas was easy via taxi and/or hotel shuttle.
Overall this property is lovely and the staff is very friendly. Our room was huge and the ocean view was gorgeous. The bed was huge...o.k. not technically! They took two beds and pushed them together. While I applaud the ingenuity it wasn't the comfortable to fall between the two through the course of the evening. Additionally by moving the beds together only one side of the bed had a night stand. I think they did this because they promised us a king bed and they didn't have any available. We overheard 3 ladies saying that they had bed issues as well and one of them was going to have to sleep on a cot/lounge chair. I would recommend the property and would stay again despite the bed situation.

It is a beautiful resort.

Pros: The resort was beautiful and very quiet.
Cons: The sidewalks could be wider to accommodate people and golf carts or golf carts need to have a separate roads.
Location: The resort is a 20 minute shuttle ride from town. All tours will pick you up there. We did the "Hauna Zip Line". It was fun.
Saturday is their busy day for arrivals, so except to wait in line to check-in. They do offer beer or water while you wait. The resort is stunning and the landscape is beautiful. The resort has multiple pools. One pool is a adults only. The restaurants were great. The buffet offered an amazing spread. I thought the resort was very quiet. The resort is very large, so depending on where you room is it may be a long walk. They do have golf carts that will pick you up. There is lots of beach to walk. The beach there is not great for children to play on. They do offer a shuttle in to their sister hotel in town. It runs every 30mins and more often when needed. From the sister hotel, you can walk to the everything in the "Golden Zone". I thought the resort was great. I would stay there again.

It's like going to a retirement home.

The bar does not open till 3pm and hard to get a drink at all and the pools stop serving drink at 7pm. Really boring unless you are like 70 years old and not looking for any late nights or early mornings...

PB Emerald Bay

Pros: The grounds/lanscape were beautiful. The pool area was clean. The theme dinners never disappointed.
Cons: Public restroom cleanliness. Exchange rates posted publicly.
Location: PB Emerald Bay was far from downtown Mazaltan. We took the shuttle to the other PB location downtown and took a pulmenia to shopping.
The grounds are very nice. The food was very good for a resort, cocktails were on the "light" side. I thought the public restrooms could have been cleaner. It seemed like they would mop all the dirt to the edges of the floor and leave it there. So it was kinda gross. The private rooms were very well cleaned though. We have bad shower karma and always seem to get the room with poor water pressure and PB Emerald Bay kept up with tradition. The activity staff was great. Always smiling and having fun with the guests. The pool wait staff & bartenders were less enthusiastic. The pools were open until 8pm but the bars closed at 5pm ?

Excellent service!

We just returned from PB Emerald Bay from a Christmas vacation. Excellent...excellent service and quality for the money. We chose the all inclusive package and it was well worth the extra expense. The pool staff was beyond our expectations. Beautiful beaches and fantastic views. Already planning for next year.
