The front desk at the hotel could t find my reservation. And it was only after an hour of going back and forth with Expedia and the front desk. They could finally find the booking. Apparently they have a few different systems they use to confirm reservations. The hotel is in a convenient location to get around Melbourne, right opportune train station. However, it does seem a bit shady outside at night. The hotel and room are showing their age and felt like it is in need of a renovation. Overall, not too bad for a one night stay while transiting.

Clean room, nice shower but leaked on the floor & door when used the bottom of the door had swelled for this reason so you could never shut it. Polite helpful staff. Nice bar but wasn’t always open & shut at 9 pm.

We always stay at this hotel when we are in Melbourne. It’s very convenient location wise. You can walk or catch transport so easily from the hotel. There’s lots of stores and restaurants near by too. The hotel also offers luggage storage which makes it so easy to get on with your day, even if you arrive earlier than check in time. The rooms are also clean. Check in and check out was quick and easy. Thank you.

Our one night twin bed room was oblong shaped with a bathroom glass cubicle ,wash basin and toilet seat all cramped into a single person's space with the door closed; at one end. There was no privacy if 2 persons were to use the facilities simultaneously. The lift to access the room from the reception was separated by a series of 6 up or down steps.Depending on the reception staff ,check in male was indifferent while checking out female staff was obliging enough to offer to carry our luggage up the steps to the hall . Room carpet was dark dirty green or plain black to hide the soil well.But no obvious odour.It cost $ 254.42 with tax for the one night without breakfast ( additional $48 for 2 ordinary breakfasts).The best it offers is the location near to the Southern Cross station. However, getting to the room with heavy luggage from the street involved finding the sliding gangway around the corner, getting a lift to reception, lifting luggage down 6 steps to another lift.

The room we had faced the street and the lights that were used to illuminate either the hotel sign or the street made it so bright in the room, for rooms on that side there should have better blackout curtains to combat this. It was 1 am and we still thought it was light outside until we looked at our phones. For a one night stay it was alright but walls are very thin and can hear every single door close when people leave there rooms. Staff were very nice
