A week almost of luxury

Lovely accommodation for 7 nights. Great pool, sauna and spa. Unserviced but we were made aware of that. View to the river was amazing, had 2 meals at the restaurant, good prices and quality with a weekend surcharge. Cooking facilities in the room were good. Only thing that let the stay down was 2 cracked vinyl chairs at the desk/table. For a hotel of this standard where nearly everything was perfect it took away the sign of glamour and caring.

I liked the amenities, were pretty comfortable. I didn't like at all, the TV, because I could't adjusted the volume. I love the breakfast options. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great location and close to transport to get around Melbourne, great customer service, the rooms just need an upgrade. Hole on our carpet, broken ironing board, dead batteries in TV remote and dining room table chairs really need to be replaced as leather was cracked and unsittable. Beds were comfy and enough space for 4 people.

4 star hotel? Absolutely not!

I wonder if we were punished by book8ng via Hotels.com. Our room was 2 star at best and no where near as nice as online photos. It looked like a university dormitory. Stains on carpet, cracked tiles, cracked and peeling dinning chairs, water damage on bathmroom cabinets and moldy shower. Could use a deep clean and new furnishings. Will not be staying at any Oaks properties again.

Takd out your own rubbish or you are charged an additional $350.00. Mould in bathroom which is outdated and has no grab rails. Aircon didn't work properly. Room amenities insufficient for the number of guests and number of booked days. Dining chairs have cracked coverings. Knife so blunt it would not cut bread. Staff said no replacement possible. All in all, not great.

Property and room excellent Breakfast front guy needs to be a bit more friendly instead of pulling faces when you can't find a name that is meant to be on his list be helpful And twice my parking that I was sent to was not what I expected and the entry and exit never working properly but all in all the hotel and 99 percent of stall all excellent

2 of our 3 night stay there was no hot water, when we informed the reception we were unapologetically told “we aren’t the only ones with a problem” with no offer of solution, refusal of discount , not even a free breakfast. Won’t stay again.

My colleague and I booked a room with 2 beds as we did not want to sleep together. The room had 2 single beds arranged as 1 queen bed. I was clear with my request and assured 2 queen beds. Very disappointed. Transparency from the hotel would have been appreciated. Will not stay with this brand hotel again. Other than the bed issue, the hotel was fine. I rate my stay on cleanliness, customer service and comfort.

We checked in late and didn't really notice till the next morning,but our bathroom smelt like the whole hotel had gathered in there to smoke. I bought a can of Glen 20 to clear the smell. Like walking into a bar in the 80's
