This appears to be a family run hotel. The folks at the front desk as well as all other non-family employees are way above average nice and friendly. The breakfast was GREAT best biscuits and gravy I have ever had at a hotel and the good make your own waffles 😊. For a lower cost hotel it was clean and neat. We would recommend this to all but our snobbiest friends as a good place to stay if you are coming to the New River Gorge, very centrally located for all the main US Park visitor centers. Travel Tip - Do not miss the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine !!

It was older & needed some work on the outside. Walking to our room the halls stunk , literally had to hold my breath. The room was a lot cleaner & didn’t stink surprisingly! We didn't eat breakfast, didn't trust because of cleanliness & smell! We wouldn't go back

Front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Room was clean and tidy. Overall, the property needs a lot of updating. They appear to be doing that currently. Maybe in a year it will be much better place.

This property was okay for the price I paid. I had a discount so it was like $20 however I would not pay $100 or more to stay here because definitely a sketchy area and very run down hotel. Breakfast was really good though!

Overall the property was pretty clean, but there was a terrible smell in the hallways. Breakfast was good. Pool was nice. We had a strange experience with staff calling the room at 10:45 at night our first evening asking if someone was in the shower (one of us had just gotten out) that really weirded us out. Wouldn’t stay here again for those reasons.

I liked The location. They had me checked in before I got there and said their system was down. The door to the room was messed up like someone busted parts of it. The bedsheets had dirty spots on it. also

The hotel was up on a hill away from most everything. It was an isolated location and other buildings on the lot were abandoned. Our room was only reasonably clean but the bathroom could have been cleaner. It was quiet and we were able to sleep comfortably.

I realize that this is just a budget friendly hotel but I was really disappointed when getting to the room as it had a musty order, then placed an item on the table in the room and the one leg was already broken to which they were placed right away but then also afterwards when I went to take a shower the curtain rod was barely hanging on in the walls and had to point that out to staff. The staff were very friendly and apologetic but this place is definitely not being taken care of and need some better management. I am not a person to complain but I was very disappointed with the condition of this room and feel it is not worth what I paid for. On the other hand the breakfast was basic but was tasty.
