We travel a lot, Germany was not necessarily the easiest to find small properties with reasonable prices. Many businesses had intentionally inflated their rates because of Oktoberfest. As fun and festive Oktoberfest is to experience, the event is located in a large outside space that you need to find your way to, and navigate through thousands of festival goers and probably get discouraged from paying for overpriced food and beer, especially when it’s next to impossible to enter a bier garten. Despite all that, Design-Hotel JAMS was a property worth the time researching. Barely a 10 walk from the subway, barely a 15 minute walk to Altstadt… the hotel sits on an arm of a circle that you can walk an entire 360 degrees and back to the hotel with endless things to admire, appreciate, dine, and enjoy and realize you may not even need transportation if you take your time to stroll through this historic beautiful part of the city. The hotel was all around cute, clean, and the staff “uber” friendly as well as friendly. The quality put into the hotel from the rooms to the restaurant is mentally satisfying which is why we prefer to research boutique hotels versus large properties where we find we are just another reservation. The breakfast was hand crafted from the endless coffee options, to the cheeses, cured meats, breads, and individually made omelettes. If we find our way ever back to Munich, JAMS is a hotel we’d be happy to spend time at again. Thank you team at JAMS!

A very "Jazzy" hotel

We were very welcomed to the hotel. The staff staid overtime to help us park the car and guide us to the room. IT is a relatively small and quiet hotel close to the park. I believe will go there often.

We really liked this hotel. The decor was cool, the rooms were comfortable and the front desk staff was excellent. The only negative I can say about this property concerns the bar /breakfast service area. We went in for a drink at the bar one evening and there was only 1 bartender to service the entire room (dinner & bar service). He was friendly but overwhelmed and the service ended up being slow. He was very apologetic. We checked out early on a Saturday morning (before breakfast was to be served). The front desk clerk suggested that we could grab a coffee from the bar & maybe a muffin to eat before we left … we went in to the bar/restaurant and the staff working there was very irritated with us for coming in and wasn’t interested in serving us. She never “warmed up” to us, even after the Front Desk Clerk came in to talk to her in our before. Overall, I would recommend this hotel & would return but likely wouldn’t go in to the bar / restaurant.

Excellent hotel that is a fun place to be.

The JAMS hotel is a great find and i will continue to stay thete due to it's excellent staff, great breakfast, funky, fun atmosphere, and proximity to a major SBAHN. I must say this boutique hotel hits a 5star on everything and once again the staff are the bes- bar none.

I LOVED staying at this hotel. We were lucky enough to get a room with air conditioning. It's a beautiful hotel with a great theme. The staff was PHENOMENAL, answering any questions we had and storing all of our luggage for us on our last day (we were traveling in a group of 12). The rooms are nice and there is an elevator. We were even allowed to play cards in the lobby bar in the evenings. There is a tram stop about 500 feet away so it's easy to get around in the city.

The staff was incredibly polite and helpful. The bar and the restaurant area are really nice. However, the room was incredibly hot and the portable AC was not sufficient enough to cool it down which can be a pain when traveling with a small kid. Everything else was great.

A fantastic off the walls hotel with really nice staff members as well as a great location. The biggest downside was that there was no A/C which was absolutely brutal in the summer as an American. To their credit they did have a portable A/C unit but it just did not hold up in the heat.
