Un hĂŽtel qui aurait besoin dâĂȘtre mis au goĂ»t du jour, plutĂŽt obsolĂšte. Mais pour le prix, il ne manquait rien (micro-onde, frigidaire, stationnement facile et proche de tout).
The back of the property that was our patio off the room had overgrowth of grass, weeds, and a broken fence that went to the adjacent back lot of the other hotel which was littered with trash. It did not feel safe. As far as the room it was "quick cleaned" and the pool area needs work the water was cloudy and the back door was kept open .
Mold and Mildew. Filthy room. The place stunk and my daughter and I woke up with sinus issues. I went and purchased bleach at 10:30 pm, and over 10 miles away, to pour on the black mold in the bathtub and when that did not help I pulled the filters out of the AC unit and they were caked in dirt and dust. I booked for 2 nights, stayed for the 1 night and they are refusing to refund me.
Pleased with the room. It was on second floor which I requested. No elevator but easy stairs. Room had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, ice bucket. Bathroom small but very clean and well lit. King bed was very comfortable and had two pillows. Internet connection and television with Direct Tv. Balcony with chairs if you wanted to sit outside. I did not check if they offered a minimal breakfast but there is a wonderful diner next door so plenty to eat.
My room was not ready when I got there. So I left and came back had to wait 35 min for someone to show up. I paid my room in full before I got to the hotel. Still had to put down a 100 deposit and it would take 3 to 5 business days to get back to me .
This place was a great price for a one night stay in Mystic. I know itâs not a 5 star hotel, but was pretty mortified with what we found. There was literally dry blood on one of our pillows and it wasnât from us! The sink was clogged and where finding a big bug isnât on the hotel itself, it just may the stay that much worse. The room from an overview was ok, but again to find someone elseâs blood is disgusting!!! I did call the front and they came up, took the pillow and apologized. We did ask to speak to a manager and that never happened. Luckily there were 2 beds, so we definitely checked the other before utilizing it. The tv wasnât working on and off either. Definitely not the best experience and to not have management check in on us, is not ok.
The howard johnson used to be a nice but affordable place to stay. It's just affordable now. The place needs repairs and the repairs that are made are quite literally just planks of wood nailed to the wall then painted. The hallways stink like mold and the carpets are clearly discolored. They are in bad need of cleaning. Porch furniture was cracked and unusable.
A visual representation of the entire place is a large fish tank in the lobby. I remember when it was a beautiful salt water tank full of vibrant fish. Last year I went and the tank was empty. This year it just had a tarp over it. Management doesn't seem to care at all, not sure if they're apathetic or incompetent. I'll never stay here again unless I hear about a change in ownership.
My family enjoyed our trip! Staff was friendly and the diner next door was excellent. This was a perfect location for our visit to the Aquarium and Mystic Village. From the outside it can look a little rough around the edges but our room was clean and comfortable.
