Trying to sleep next to outdoor bar doesn't work and trucks and deliveries early in morning doesn't let you catch up
We traveled with dogs (hypoallergenic, clean Shih Tzu). The dog rooms they offer were filthy. The floor was very dirty, we had to clean it. The bedding was stained badly. It was all around gross. Just because you travel with pets doesn’t mean you should have the worst possible conditions! Maybe have dog breed specific rooms? It’s definitely tough traveling with pets and trying to find pet friendly places. This place was conveniently located by the Grand Ole’ Opry. But it definitely wasn’t a grand experience. Not sure what the normal rooms look like. Unfortunately, some pet owners ruin things for the responsible pet owners! If people treated pet friendly places like they were their own, it would help all of us out! I don’t necessarily blame the property owners but cleaning up should be the bare minimum! Especially the bedding, floor and any touch point in the room. A quick clean is not enough for your guests. Unless returning guests isn’t what you’re looking for? I was generous with my star rating. My wife wanted me to give it just one star. I wasn’t expecting much from a dog friendly room. I was just glad it didn’t smell like urine or wet dog. Some no tell hotels are worse than this. But not too far off. Cleaning up a pet friendly room should take a little extra time, considering we pay extra for them and get less for our money compared to the other guests! Maybe use the extra money for bleach? Bleach smells nice, disinfects and cleans… Just an FYI!
Pros. Our room was updated and the bed very comfortable.
Cons. Not sound proof - could hear anyone who passed by our room and I'm sure they could hear us if we were talking. Chair leg was broke upon arrival to our room and we informed the front desk he said they would change ASAP and never did.
Breakfast was very limited but good thing Cracker Barrel in walking distance.
