I was very disappointed with my recent stay. There was visible mold in the bathroom and vents, which caused me to get sick. The check-in process was extremely frustrating—long lines, only 1–2 staff members at the desk, and unhelpful attitudes. We were told to return later because our room wasn’t ready, and when we came back hours later, we had to wait in another long line just to receive our keys. On top of that, charging a fee per bag to hold luggage felt unreasonable, especially since this should be a complimentary service for guests. I’ve stayed at many Marriott properties before and always felt the quality and service matched the brand’s value. Unfortunately, this location did not meet that standard at all.

This is a stunning hotel lobby and great amenities! I will say that the sofa bed accommodations were really the only downside for us- that was exceptionally uncomfortable. Otherwise, everything was fabulous!

This is an excellent place to stay in NYC if you're looking for a safe and affordable option. The location is great (and a few blocks east of 5th is a bit quieter, if that's what you're looking for), lots of dining options around, only a short walk from Central Park and theaters! The property is a bit worn, but that's to be expected. I do wish there was coffee maker in the room for mornings. Thanks to the wonderful and helpful staff!

There was a lot of street construction in the area and the front desk line was always long. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I would stay again if the price was right.

Would hinge on being a five star property except for restaurant and bar which are open a few a few hours a day and have the menu and quality consistent with such. Mandatory $35.00 daily fee per room will cover one drink when bar is open.

Location location location

Excellent location for first time NYC visit. The subway is close as is everything walkable, include to Central Park. Clean. Friendly staff. Excellent bar and breakfast. Just a really wonderful place that we frequent.

The location was perfect and very easy to reach. My only 2 issues were the cleanliness of the bathroom( hair from a previous visitor all over the floor) and the unclear explanation of the destination fee and what actual days you can use it. I was charged $35 because apparently I used 2 in one day.
