Nice place, expensive parking, slow service

The location was great, directly on the beach but the surprise $30 per day self parking charge is outrageous. The drop off area was impractical for dropping on handicapped quests, the restaurant was understaffed, the service very slow and they ran out of several items. The rooms and gym facilities were outstanding.

Nice beach, surprise parking charge!

The arrival was poorly organized and no one offered to help. They charge $30 to self park but you have no idea until you check in. There is no lane to drop off people. My parents are handicapped and there was no where to let them out. The lack of complimentary breakfast was disappointing also. The location on the beach was very nice and the outside the restaurant seating was nice, although they were understaffed and ran out of several things. Slow service.

If it wasn’t Keith at the front desk our stay would have been a disaster. We are a Marriott member, but don’t ever book through a third party for this hotel cause you’ll never hear the end of it from the front desk. I had two reservations for two rooms They don’t have separate rooms for dogs which I love dogs but the beautiful room we were assigned there was pee on the carpet. The room smelled so bad and nothing was done for me cause the desk staff at night couldn’t be bothered Keith took care of us immediately in the morning when I told him my issues the night before They are short staffed in the restaurant breakfast took a while to get . Beach was beautiful area was nice and quiet .

Will be back!!

My granddaughter turned 11 and wanted to stay at a “fancy” hotel for the night and watch the sunrise. There were myself and my 3 grandkids and we had a great time. The restaurant was beautiful and we ate outside as well for breakfast. Our balcony was the perfect place to watch the sunrise! My grandkids and I can not wait to come back!

Safe surrounding area. Around 15 mins from VA beach boardwalk. I booked 2 rooms advertised as oceanview rooms. Rooms were on 3rd floor and view of said beach was blocked by the restaurant attached to hotel. Upon further research the water was actually the Chesapeake bay. Not what you think of as "ocean view". Was told at check in that $150 incidental fee per room included parking, but was charged an additional $24 per vehicle on checkout. Checkout is 11 am, but housekeeping starts knocking around 945. My family felt rushed to leave. It took around 3 days to receive incidental fee back which is fine, but the same day I was charged $110.56. Representative stated that because I booked through a third party my payment method had not been provided at the time of check in. Again, I booked 2 rooms and had bank statements showing the original charge. I like the surrounding area but will not be visiting this hotel again.
