Hotel and accommodations the worst I have experienced traveling. After finding someone to help us check in, we were greeted with Dont's: don't lose or break the bracelet that is your key to your room or you will be charged a night stay!! Don't let animals in your room or you will be charged damage. Don't bother the front desk to ask to solve any problems. After we got to our room we noticed we had only 2 water bottles for the day. We asked the front desk if we could have 4 bottles of water a day. She said "NO". I kindly pointed out to not deliver the 2 cans of beer or one bottle of soda each day but instead deliver 4 bottles of water. Again, reply was "NO". If I needed more water I could go to the gift shop and buy some. The next day our room was cleaned but we were shorted hand towels. All the towels are old and frayed. I first asked the house keeper for a wash cloth, nothing, then front desk. Towels Never arrived. But we did have several crabs and spiders on the floor!! I gave up on the towels needed for the week!! No Service at the pools. If you wanted a drink, you had to get it at the restaurant! Food was terrible, the same food every day! Tried to make reservations for the week. Front desk said I am only allowed 2 reservations a week!! The other meals would be buffets that close at 8:45 each night. We ended up with diarrhea by day 3. The main hotel had No air conditioning until a convention showed up. Then air was turned on!! Not a 4 star hotel, 2 stars at best!

Beautiful property with exquisite views, much more undeveloped than many tropical all-inclusives. God's was okay, several options! The Oreintal Restaurant was exceptional, especially if you're seated at the hibachi table! Staff was friendly and accommodating.

My wife and I stayed 4 days and 3 nights at the property from 8/31 thru 9/3 and it was incredible.The food was magnificient and our room was beautiful. The staff are very respectable and truly kind. Carlos, Charlie, and Fabian were so welcoming and we look forward to returning next year with some of are close friends as well as our adult daughter. Muchas Gracias to all of the wonderful staff at

The excursions were awesome: things like atv tours through the rainforest and along the beach, zip lining over the rainforest ,hiking in the rainforest, visiting a volcano and hot springs, and more. The gentleman setting up the excursions, Jose Soto or J.J. , was amazing. Just tell him your schedule and what you want to do and he will set it up, either group or private tours and transport from and back to the airport. My wife was not feeling well one evening and when I went to dinner, they gave me a take home container for her and also told me if she was not better they would make a special meal for her the next evening. Go here and you will understand the meaning of Pura Vida.

Very quiet. Staff was very helpful. We had an early flight from San Jose. We needed to leave at 4:30 AM to drive to San Jose. The night before, they said they could send the Shuttle to our room and give us a box Breakfast. At 4:30, no one came and after calling the front desk they said they did not have anyone to come get us. That the shuttle did not run until 6AM. Since San Jose Airport is about 150 miles from the Resort, they need to make accomodations for earlier guest departing
