The room was very clean and the ac was so cold at night! From check-in to bartenders to check out, I can literally say Costa Rica has amazing people working at their hotels. The drinks and the atmosphere was so welcoming. I traveled alone to this hotel for 5 days and definitely feel it wasn’t enough.

At the first when we checked in we came in to the room the tv was on and it had very bad reception. We placed a complaint every day while our stay and the problem was never fixed. At the second when we checked in at the reception desk we were told that the restaurants for dinner are first come first served, but it was absolutely not. Every restaurant made a waiting list for dinner which makes absolutely nonsense people line up at 5pm before restaurants open and make a waiting list. because it was full list for the night and you can’t get in any restaurant for dinner. If there is no reservation needed it shouldn’t be a waiting list nether. We were very upset about it. The third thing is there is no where to wash your hands and no sanitizers before you set at the table at any restaurant. Another thing was our room smell like sewerage at all times for some reason. When we make reservations for our trip the resort rated as 5 star in my opinion it doesn’t stay nowhere near 5 star.

A lot of things need to improve, starting with the way the hotel differentiates guests who booked directly with them and through third parties such as hotels.com. It doesn’t make much sense that they offer an airport shuttle for direct bookings only. Room was good but not great specially for the price paid. The fridge and the A/C were super noisy and the TV was garbage (watching TV in the room was like going through a Time Machine, the definition looked like from a 30 year old TV). The staff were want the best either, I was literally woken up at 0700 in the morning with a knocking in my door asking if I wanted the room cleaned. Also the cleaning personnel are super loud when preparing the day. They chat super loudly in the hotel corridors, we were woken up by them most of the days before 0700. Food is also another very negative point. It’s not good and I even got food poisoned the last day. I’ve even tried to contact the hotel lobby several times without success. The only positive I found from this stay was the hotel amenities. The beach is also nice but it’s not well kept by the hotel. I understand it’s public but it would be nice for the hotel to clean the trash created by their guests or pack up their sun beds. Also having a life guard on duty would be a nice touch. I’m not giving it a 1 star because the amenities and bars were actually good.

Worst staff in 20+ years of going to all-inclusive resorts. Not sure if it’s a training issue, or if the staff simply don’t care. Never refilling beverages, or even saying “hello”. Same related to servicing the rooms. Some days there was no service, some days just switch towels/tp, but floors were not cleaned. In general, service was inconsistent and incomplete everywhere around the resort (rooms, restaurants, gym, pool). Food was very average. If you want to eat at the steak house, you need to wait in line since 5pm, for a 6pm opening. A little ridiculous… why not reserve ahead of time? And again, food is average, and service very poor. One good thing is that the staff enforced smoking rules, and didn’t allow kids in the pool bar (inside the pool). This allowed for a more pleasing experience around the pool bar. Not overcrowded! It’s a public beach, and the vendors were “right there” at the entrance. Lots of them. They were not pushy, but they for sure obstructed the nice view and definitely affected the vibe. Unfortunately I would not go back there and wouldn’t recommend it. There are way better places at better prices elsewhere.

Majority of the staff were super helpful and friendly. We were not able to access any tv channels or streaming in our room. The food was mediocre. We were told there was one restaurant open 24 hours but when we tried to get brunch at 11am, they only served alcohol and coffee. There are no food options available between 10:30 am and 12 pm. The Wi-Fi worked intermittently. The pools were nice and our room was clean.

The room was not great even though it was renovated. It had a very bad sewage smell it was a little unbearable at first, but we got used to it unfortunately. I told the front desk and they did nothing i was a little upset that they didn’t do anything. I had to go back a second time to let them know and they wanted to move me to another room this was on the four day, which was very inconvenient because everything else at the resort was fantastic other than the long lines for the restaurants we tried some of the restaurants, but to be honest with you the main buffet was better. They had more selection and the same stuff you’d get in the restaurant so nothing special there. The beach is absolutely fabulous. The entertainment was very good. The staff was wonderful. The pools were amazing. The resort itself is one of the best even though there was a few hiccups you can’t have perfect.

The resort was clean. I really enjoyed the Friday night neon party. Beach access, however the beach chairs were dirty. Several restaurants onsite. However, you need to go early for dinner to several restaurants to obtain seating. Staff were professional and friendly. Several pools and water park access are great options for family. Very close to Diamente Ecopark.

Overall, we had a good experience, but the check‑in process was rough. They had someone working their first day, and nothing about the hotel was explained. We ended up having to go back to the front desk multiple times for basic things like Wi‑Fi information and directions. The room had a slight smell, and the toilet was a bit unusual, but the convenience of being so close to the beautiful beach made up for a lot. The night entertainment was enjoyable, and we really liked the show. My biggest issue was the food situation and the long, inefficient wait times. It felt like we wasted valuable vacation time just trying to get on a list for reservations hours later. I’ve never experienced anything like that, and there really should be a better system. Honestly, the best meal I had was the grilled chicken at Pepe’s. Also, it was surprising that name‑brand liquor was only available at one bar. For the money spent I guess it was what you pay for.
