Location is great as it’s quiet and walking distance from the Louvre and Musee D’Orsay and the designer shops. Room was a good size and clean although as the decor was chic black it was difficult to see most of the time unless the lights were full on. A word of caution however is that the food portions are incredibly small and expensive. I ordered the prawn curry which had three tiny portions of rice ( imagine 4 50p pieces stacked on top of each other) with a prawn on top. All for €34. Dinner cost €120 and I ended up having 2 oat energy bars afterwards because I was ravenous. Be warned.

We were well taken care of and don’t have any specific complaints. We were upgraded to the Historic Suite and enjoyed two amazing days in this 1000 square foot room. The staff are super accommodating and the location is fairly central. The hotel is getting a bit long in the tooth and could use some amenity upgrading. The gym is small and vastly underwhelming with home gym quality strength training and only three pieces of cardio. We checked out primarily because a single coffee is €12 and breakfast was €42. Although we know some places in Paris are expensive, this was the worst that I’ve ever felt taken advantage of.

Room not ready on time . Concierge and front desk in effective - for example we asked for a booking to a restaurant , the concierge said that there is no point in trying , they are booked for months, but when we tried we hit a booking for the same night. We ordered coffee , it never came to the room. hotel charges for items that are assumed to be free in a good hotel- 5 or 7 euros for nespresso capsules - ridiculous for a 5 star hotel. This is an addition to us never being told that there is a charge for nespresso capsules, a staple in any other hotel. This is Embarrassing - people in 5 star hotels don’t mind paying 5 euros for a coffee - but this should be a steamy fresh cup with fresh made cappuccino - not a capsule delivered an hour after we asked for it and that we have to make ourselves. Long story short - The service in this hotel is taking shortcuts that a 5 star hotel should not make.
